    C19 Databus Drive

I actually did this last year but didn’t see a build report on it so here it goes. This is the C19 Databus Drive from parasitstudio. The first thing to know is its big. The board itself is quite large. The reason I did this project is simply because of the led matrix. You can get a lot of the...

Cordyceps ring modulator/ The Bread Perv

Let me start by saying this wiring is not my finest work. I didn’t realize until I was putting it together that I had used an old power/jack format vs my current board mounted setup. It makes for a little sloppy wiring on my part. That being said lets talk about the build. Its pretty straight...

    Rotary chorus

The ones i have seen at tayda don't match the specs they have listed in the bom. No worries though, it’s not this project :). I don’t know much about them to be honest. The best I can tell looking at the schematics is its acting as some sort of power filter. It looks like they are adding those...

    Rotary chorus

So i haven’t built this yet but I do have it. I was doing some measuring yesterday for the box and also trying to source some of the parts. Its kinda wonky. I think i found some spacers from tayda that will work but i am not 100% yet. I will post info once I get a little deeper into it and share...

    Deflector Reverb/ Secondhand Glitter

I like that it doesn’t sound like every brick reverb. It seems like no matter which one you build when you hear it you immediately know it’s a brick, lol. I assume it’s the modulation. It’s nice to have a different flavor so to speak. It’s very pristine.

    Deflector Reverb/ Secondhand Glitter

Thank you sir. My kids are both on the spectrum. It’s a combination of their names. I started building years ago as a stay at home dad. Now it’s something I am hoping I can teach them if they show interest.

    Deflector Reverb/ Secondhand Glitter

Today’s build you ask? Secondhand Glitter (deflector reverb). Long story short, a friend asked yesterday if I had a reverb for a gig tomorrow night. I told him I had a few. A 1 knob a 2 knob and maybe a 6 knob. Two are Belton bricks and then I have had this fv-1 in my que. I decided to put it...

Purple Chorus (Analog Bi Chorus) board for sale anywhere?

I have a few of your layouts waiting in my pcbway cart from your other cee’s ventures. I was hoping to wait for this one before i ordered though. I wish I would have known about skidmark beforehand. It seems like he did some pretty cool stuff. I can wait, i have other boards gathering dust that...

    Red Shift

Today’s pedal to mark off the list? The Aionfx Redshift phaser. I generally like phasers and who doesn't like switches? This certainly has a lot of the latter. Its a pretty simple build it just takes a little effort to get everything lined up with the enclosure. I ended up tacking in one leg of...

Purple Chorus (Analog Bi Chorus) board for sale anywhere?

Thanks for the update. It seems like a pretty big ordeal. To bad no one has an original board that could be used to verify for the cause.

    Aionfx Hypercube

Oh, I almost forgot, I am out of foot-switch washers and had to use the ugly white plastic one. Have no fear, it will be replaced when i get my order in.

    Aionfx Hypercube

I have learned with the Aion builds just stick to the screen print. Whatever side it’s on that’s what side the part goes in. It messes me up a little but I really did this one just to get in some practice habits for the xenotron (flange with no name). It flip flops on the board sides as well.

    Aionfx Hypercube

Got my hypercube/ Nice Marmot Fuzz finished up. Very weird structure putting it together. I almost put the pots on backwards as I was test fitting. It’s sounds pretty mean. I am not sure how much I will use it, seems kinda like a one tricking pony but it does it well. It was fun to build because...

Byzantium Flanger Parts Identification, Source, and Build Documentation Issues

I read through your post again and have some other tips for this one. Build the top and bottom boards just like you would any other board. Populate the items from small to large. Do not do the headers until both boards are completely loaded (except Ic’s). Once both boards are populated its time...

Byzantium Flanger Parts Identification, Source, and Build Documentation Issues

Definitely use the good headers that EriK S said. They are very sturdy. I built this a few weeks ago and it’s great. The other thing to notice is q6. It’s BC560. You may or may not find it but make sure you are aware that it’s NOT BC550 like the others. Its’s very easy to miss. I didn’t have one...

    Soldering Sponge Recommendation

First, is your tip really sponge worthy? Sorry, bad joke. I have always used the brass sponges. The moisture part always pissed me off with the wet sponges...

    Alternate Online FV-1 Dis-Assembler

Thanks Larry. I am really new to the fv-1 programming. I have built a lot of the fv-1 projects and love them and I just started to play with SpinCad recently. Awesome work by the way. I realized after I asked I should have done a little more due diligence. I left my post up for posterity sake...

    The Octagon

Finally got around to getting this together. I have done some of the other fv-1 boards (Hydra, rainbow machine, and Organ doner) but I wanted to branch out a little. I defiantly see myself spending a lot of time playing around with this. I got a few extra chips to try out as well.

    Alternate Online FV-1 Dis-Assembler

Yeah, uhhhhhh never mind, lol. I got spincad going on my Mac(No audio which is par for the course) and just loaded 8 patches from the spincad files. Saved it as a hex file then when to the disassembler and loaded it. It worked but I have no idea what I am looking at so I don't think I am ready...
