    Siglant Scope

Hi all Does anyone have any feedback for a Siglent SDS1202X-E scope. Two channel, 200MHz. I have the possibility of getting one at a very good price. And although I have managed to build stuff so far with out one, it might be handy to have around for some of my builds...

    Fordable Drive (ThorpyFX "The Dane")

Great build and report as usual! Looks like a nicely laid out board. Drop me a line if you need any suggestions for a travel pedal making kit. I did it for two years spending weeks in isolation in hotels. Only thing that kept me sane!!!! I managed to get all the gear in a toiletry bag size...

So the changing of the pot worked, and we won't mention anything about the stray 4.7K resistor that somehow ended up in the position of a 47K resistor. Who would have known such a thing happened in building pedals! Off to learn how to read again, @Chuck D. Bones once again saved the day. The...

So, I presented my gift last night and we played around with it a lot more. One thing I noticed was at low gain levels the unity with the amp was around 12 on the volume pot but as soon as I Increased the gain the pedal got too loud and we had to have toe volume almost at minimum. Would...

I found that I needed the mids up to about 3 o’clock and the treble up that way too while the bass had to be backed off to about 9 o’clock. Turning the bass up kind of “muddied” the sound. Bearing in mind I was playing through a guitar amp, custom plexi. So probably not the best for playing a...

Managed to get some time on it this morning too which was fun. Both bass and guitar and sounded beautiful. The preamp pot totally controls the crunch of it. It’s still heavy on the bass but manageable with the tone controls. I increased the presence trim pot to around 3 o’clock position and it...

So the second of my recent builds that will be given away. This one I haven’t built before and am thinking I already need to build one for myself. This one is going to a friend of my wife who is obsessed with Lemmy and is a part time bass player in a band. He has been helping my wife with...

Evening all! So although I haven’t posted much recently I have been, as @fig suggests, building things! I have just been too busy building and actually playing my guitar to post. This is a bit different though as it won’t be with me long. So I wanted to get it out there before it’s gone for...

    Lemmy sound

Totally agree with you all. Especially when you look at him playing too. A lot of strumming and chords too. It’s fun y when people say they want to sound like “someone” but in reality even with their idols gear it’s not all about that. It’s about the person behind it too. Anyway, we digress. I...

    Lemmy sound

Haha that’s very true. He did offer a lot of sound to a three piece. I guess you have to with only three instruments. Look at Mike Kerr nowadays. Although all his is done with effects. Lemmy was just volume!!
