Maybe some issue with overlapping or parallel traces. Those circuits really aren't complex though...

SOLVED Need some ears to help me with a client’s concern about some ‘fizzle’

Honestly, I can't tell and I'm super sensitive to thus kind of stuff. But just to check, could you share the schematic? Maybe running it at higher voltage helps otherwise. But sometimes people are just people.

    Notakliche bits

That way makes sense because the switch would compensate for the lower volume of the schottky/germanium diodes vs silicon/LEDs. But the clean/dirty balance won't be the same regardless of setting compared to a normal Klon/Kliche. Still could be interesting to experiment.

    Notakliche bits

The switch makes the dirty path louder and adds the LEDs in parallel with the BAT/Germanium diodes. Honestly, what you're looking for would be a regular clipping switch that actually switches diodes in a way that makes sense. The LEDs will have barely any effect on the tone really, as the...

    JRC5534 - different pinout from CA3130?

I repeat, neither TL071 nor CA3130 have compensation pins. just leave the cap unsoldered. There's also the easier to find NE5534 which would be a more direct JRC5534 replacement.

    JRC5534 - different pinout from CA3130?

You wouldn't need a compensation cap for either really.

Guvernator - More Cowbell! No, I mean more Bass

If you do so, the signal clipped by the silicon soft clippers will be rather quiet so the LEDs won't do a lot

So I'm fairly sure your 4K7 resistor is 4R7, which would give you 1000x the gain it should, which could give you all sorts of issues. Check these spots for solder bridges or incomplete cuts.

Can anyone recommend a tube screamer

If you want something that is sort of a TS but also isn't, try this: https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/pcb505/ It's sort of between a TS and a Timmy/Jan Ray, so it won't sound as flat as a screamer but also still have some screamery mid push. Plus it's quite adjustable.

    SOLVED Appetizer Problem

Yes. Your picture quality isn't very helpful but it seems like you have the ground and output wires mixed up on the output jack.

Curds and whey distortion added to a better overdrive?

For some reason I thought you had the entirety of the Timmy going into the wavefolder, also misread the amount of voltage gain from the prunes and custard, damn... But anyway, the soft clipping takes away a good bit of volume. Increasing the gain of the Timmy clipping stage won't get it much...

    Understanding VRef

Obviously, but I am talking about the vast majority of pedals. In that case it wouldn't be "virtual" ground either really.
