What kind of GE did you get and from where?

C6, C7, and C19 are round pads and call for 1u electrolytic capacitors. C21 should be the only square pad that calls for a 1u. You can use a film cap here. You can use a greenie as well. I don’t remember what my diodes were rated but I only matched the germaniums. Hope that helps.

POLL - Do you use 3PDT breakout boards?

I would use them on every single switch if I could. Absolutely love them. Wish the Parentheses came with one for the Octave switch.

    Transformer Polarity

Good to know to not always rely on that “P” symbol!

    Transformer Polarity

For circuits that need a transformer, like the Bit Commander, does the printed P on the transformer always align with the P on the PCB? Googling "transformer polarity" for guitar pedals seems to only return stuff about pedal power supplies.

Rad! I’ve got one of these boards set aside for when I have more time.

    Quick Tayda UV Printing Tip

I think I'm going to make a Youtube video that walks through the process I've used. I think that'll make it easier. But the short answer is yes, this exactly. I pull in the drill template and center it. Then I create 16mm circles for all knob spacing since those are roughly the largest knobs...

I was really surprised with the amount of lowend that is translated through the circuit. It sounds so buzzy, but really there's a lot of heavy low end too. It's really awesome.

This thing is awesome! Knobs are boring anyways. Super buzzy fuzz, but also thick and strong like a Floor record. Built this for a friend but I might have to build my own now. Used Tayda PN2222s which worked out fine.

How do you secure socketed components?

Well now I bought one. LOL

How do you secure socketed components?

I've considered that single leg option. Seems sufficient enough to hold the part in place long term.

I was hoping for this answer.

How do you secure socketed components?

That alligator clip cheat is a great idea.

How do you secure socketed components?

Someone mentioned on another platform that it's not a good idea to solder transistors into their sockets once I've committed to my choices. This is what I've always done, but apparently the heat can be bad for them. I don't do this for ICs since the sockets seem very secure, but I wouldn't feel...

    Parentheses Fuzz w/ video

Exactly that. I just googled "Demon Woodcut" or something lol. Then I used this website to convert it to a vector: https://www.autotracer.org/ Once converted to a vector I made a few small changes in Affinity and that was that. It's worth noting, you can do a full Tayda PDF in Affinity alone...

    Parentheses Fuzz w/ video

I’ve built a couple of these, but never really been happy with how one turned out until now. Matched the forward voltage on each set of diodes (1n34a, and D9Ks) since I saw someone here mention that was a good idea. Used a GuitarPCB sourced LM308. Enclosure print via Tayda’s service which turned...
