Help me choose a bass compressor circuit...

I really like (THAT) VCA comps for bass. I’ve found that they tend to handle the difference in signal amplitude across the bass spectrum quite well so dynamics are overall more balanced.

What kind of connector do I want?

It was a marketing tie-in with Twisted Metal.

Oh, I didn’t know Joe manchin had a solo project.

Never deactivate the thermal relief check!

Also not connected to anything. Are you running the ERC?

Please preserve it in a bot hall of fame.

So, I gotta say, crushed garlic is key to a solid pizza.

Never deactivate the thermal relief check!

That didn't throw an error for being an unconnected island? I can't see any connection between those pads/pour and an actual connection to the GND net. That should be a separate error than a violation of the thermal relief design rules.

Is there such a thing as a DPDT dip switch?

By definition, a dual in-line package will not fit a DPDT footprint. You'll have to search for other switch housing/activator styles that would share a DPDT toggle footprint. EDIT: Confirm with the mechanical drawings to ensure pinout and internal clearance--a slide switch like this may work.

Possible stupid question on the EP preamp pedals…but imma ask it anyways!

Your post is a little confusing to me—it seems that the word ‘bias’ is applying to multiple parameters of the JFET device. Both circuits you’re working on are source follower amplifiers. The first section, Setting the Bias, in Chuck’s post discusses this type of arrangement. The trimpot in...

Professional vs amateur-ish in PCB design

You really should be book matching those squiggly lines. And those square bits are all wrong.

Professional vs amateur-ish in PCB design

    You fake symmetry?

Professional vs amateur-ish in PCB design

Yep—and that definition carries over in modern use within Romance languages. This may be out of scope from the OP: I think that in colloquial use (at least in the US), the professional/amateur dichotomy comes from sports classifications and attitudes toward money rather than etymologic roots...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Is the carrier the 'exporter'? The text seemed to indicate that the exporter--what I assumed to be the one filling out the customs declaration--would be determining the fee scheme applied. In any case, it seems that JLC will be telling you upfront what will be applied to the order at the point...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

Bad take. I get wanting to keep this board free of political talk, but, as you can see, this is affecting many people in that they are uncertain/anxious about what everything means. Folks should be free to discuss their experiences and ask advice from others. There haven’t been ad hominem...
