Wampler did that WAY back when, briefly. I forget the company name it was under, but he had kits similar to GGG - i.e. the classics - but also a few Wampler circuits as well. I still have the CrankedAC PCB.

I built one recently and I'm underwhelmed. I guess I'm so used to Big Muffs and Fuzz Faces - this one sounds more.........messy......than the other fuzzes. Like more inarticulate. I'll play with the transistors a little more, but at this rate, it's going on the shelf.

Sorry, I meant to say, that same resistor on my build doc (between the emitter of Q1 and the positive end of C8) is 10K. R10 (between the collector of Q1 the positive end of C7) is 10K also.

Yep, it's definitely 10K in my relative location. Would removing that (putting it on a toggle) accomplish the same thing, even though it's a different value?

Yeah, just noticed that in your pic. Mine must be older - it's 10K on mine in that same position on the PCB. I just downloaded the current build doc, and will adjust accordingly. :cool: Thx again

Very cool, thx! I don't have the patience to strip my case and start over, so I'll add an internal on/off DIP switch down the road. Thx for sharing that mod.

Interested as well - I'm waiting on a short-lever toggle switch that should be here this week - the build is ready to box up, but I'd love an 'octave off' option. (because I love options)

Sounds good - someone asked about it on TGP, but I wanted to check here in case someone had discussed it with PPCB's versions. I'll stick with 9V.

Quick question: Can the Gauss or XB-MB (roughly the same circuit) run at a higher voltage than 9V? What is the max limit?
