Low-Draw Devi Fuzz Needs More Than 9v... Why?

Are you  sure the base of 2N2222A #2 is a negative voltage? This seriously has me puzzled.

Dumb this down for me (Audio Probe) I'm confused

If you think this probe might ever be used in a tube amp I'd recommend using a 1kv (or higher) rated cap.

Low-Draw Devi Fuzz Needs More Than 9v... Why?

That wouldda been too easy but was worth a shot.

Verify what kind of diode is D1? Check voltage drop on it. Verify the type of diode installed at D1. Check the voltage across it.

    Tayda Predrilled Enclosures?

Several of the product pages have links to templates by the manual downloads. There are also some on the forum if you search the particular pedal you are building.

SPDT Switches - Do you keep the washers? What is the correct way to install them?

What @Nostradoomus said but I break the bent tab off and use the notched washer under the outside nut.

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

Honestly, no I did not realize you were joking. I took the post at face value and answered accordingly. After reading and re-reading your post I see nothing that indicates humor, satire nor sarcasm. Please be so kind as to point out what I'm missing so I don't repeat this horrendous mistake.

    Separating Audio & Power Path

Absolutely correct, but they interact with each other  internal to the pedal, amp etc... externally they should be kept seperated. This is an important point I did not think to include before, I am glad it has been brought up. To clarify I am only talking about simple guitar-pedal-amp signal...

    6 Band Slider Equilizer

Thanks!!! Tayda has the correct ones in stock? I gave up on them. These do look good without any knobs which is a good thing because I could not find knobs ANYWHERE to fit. These slider handles are thicker than Tayda's so slots need to be a bit wider. The template I linked to worked great...

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

It's a maze/puzzle. Object is to draw a line from the outside to the middle without going over a line. Nothing religious nor anti-religious about it. Edit: Grammer

    6 Band Slider Equilizer

My first build report, not the first pedal I built. This was pretty straight forward. Enclosure and many components from Tayda. Had Tayda cut slots for sliders and UV my own design. Artwork is free .png's off the web. Used Sliders from StompBoxParts which work great. I did widen the slots...

    Separating Audio & Power Path

Not sure that i fully understand the question. I'll answer the parts I do understand what you're saying/asking. Correct Mostly correct. What you call a sine wave is true for a single, clear note (frequency). Mixing notes (different miltiple frequencies) becomes a signal. More of a...

    Best place to order resistors?

Great question. I don't know the mechanical strength of solder. It would probably be ok inserted through the hole and soldered provided the entire hole is filled with solder-this largely depends on the size of the hole vs the wire size. Closer fit = stronger joint. In Mil Spec a primary...

    Best place to order resistors?

I do bend my leads but only approximately 45°. Not so much for a mechanical connection but just enough hold them in. Bending them flat to the board could cause potential shorts as mentioned in the previous post. Then I cut them pretty close. In a circuit board the lead is close to the eyelet...

trying to figure out a type and source for these components.

WIMA. It can be read on the cap between the two silver caps. Not sure of anything else you asked. Whether the various brands/types/vintage different components make a difference or not has been debated for a long time and as you see the debate continues... Personally I only build one-offs...
