    SOLVED Germanium fuzz not working

On voltage, DC current, not AC.

    Signal generators

Looper for me… Doesn’t this produce a higher db signal than a pickup or is it made to provide the same output ?

    Kliche Buffer Question

Are the schematic of the Kliche buffer anywhere ? It would be interesting to see what would be needed...

    Bass Klon

Oh boy, didn't realize I was committing a deadly sin by asking :D I went and search for posts from you and tantalum and I now understand that you use them because they don't leak and last longer. Sorry for asking...

    Bass Klon

Nice article, I almost understood it :D Any reason for using all the tantalum ?

    Kliche Buffer Question

Got it… the crackle jack might do it, locking the value of the volume and the gain with resistors. It seems simple enough that I could probably perfboard it.

    Kliche Buffer Question

Well yes, but then I saw the kliche buffer is based on an opamp, and without the schematic was wonder if it give a db gain as well.

    SOLVED Busted TS9 - Troubleshooting

Did it with a knife... took a few passes, but go to the copper and cut the trace. Ran a continuity test, nothing, so the trace was cut. Installed the diode, tested the pedal, it all worked. Box it up to ship back... and realized something was missing... Yep, forgot to put the knobs back...

    Kliche Buffer Question

So I'm thinking of a new design for a dual pedal. It would be a Kliche Mini with a Tommy in a box. Individual on/off Foot switch with my order selection twist... However, I'd like to add another footswitch on it to add gain to what ever pedal goes first. Now, I was thinking the Kliche...

    Effect of LDR

Interesting, if I remember well the Delegate compressor was using an LDR rated for 500K dark.. Which I understood was providing resistance when the LED is off (not lit) and the resistance would drop to zero once the LED go on (gets lit). Is that correct ? Also, is there the opposite ? LDR...

    SOLVED Busted TS9 - Troubleshooting

Thanks Robert… that’s also the only way I could think of. However, it shouldn’t be brain surgery ! I assume a sharp exacto knife and a few stroke should do it?

    Nah.. I put a JRC 4558. Worked perfectly !

    SOLVED Busted TS9 - Troubleshooting

How can I do that… is board mounted. And fits in a square hole of the enclosure when the board is screwed in place.

    SOLVED Busted TS9 - Troubleshooting

So, thinking back about this, I realized that the TS9 doesn’t have a protection diode. It has a zener for power regulation, but nothing protect the circuit against reverse polarity. So I’m thinking of adding a protection diode, however I can’t see where I could put it. The power input socket is...

    SOLVED Busted TS9 - Troubleshooting

Well took me a while to get to it. But I finally swapped the IC and it’s working nicely. Thanks again @PedalPCB, @music6000, @swyse, @benny_profane and of course @PJS … 🙏

    SOLVED Magnetron screw up

Of course, that make sense. The PCB is alway under current, the switch only control the signal and the led ….

    SOLVED Magnetron screw up

Don’t go to fast if you don’t get voltage on V+… Tell what’s connecting to what on between DB and MB… Of course the easy route is to wire you switch without a DB… but what’s the fun in that ?

    SOLVED Magnetron screw up

Ok not much information there, but let’s see if we can hack this… Check if you have voltage in the V+ (Red) on the daughter board. Then you should read the same voltage on V+ (green). If this works, then jump V+ (green) to the resistance, blue jumper. Check the voltage at the LED. You will...
