Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

Thanks for that information Nathan, it's taken me hours to read both of those forums and then get the schematic drawn up in KiCad. I am not sure if I would ever get to making a TH PCB for that compressor but at least I have the schematic now. (In my mind I am doing cartwheels right now, that's...

Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

And another reminder for the artwork and Tayda drill template for the Bathtub Reverb thanks. I need to order some boxes very soon from Tayda and would like to get this one into the order. Thanks Nathan

    Slow down Mirage Tremolo

If you find that this is correct, will you please let us know ? If you work out the best resistors for fastest and slowest I would be interested in what you find. I am thinking of building mine with a 3 position on-off-on switch and adding another resistor across tab 1 to 3 on the switch. 1: R16...

Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

I don't suppose you have any Artwork files for this yet ? I was going to order some boxes from Tayda soon for some of the other pedals so I might get one made for this as well. (I ordered the PCB a few minutes ago along with the vampire Slayer) Thanks Nathan

    Slow down Mirage Tremolo

I am curious how you would slow it down, more resistance to ground ??? Naturally I noticed that if I used an ON-OFF-ON switch I could make it a 3 speed switch by adding a resistor from the unused leg (3) of the switch to ground I noticed that the Valve Wizard said you can replace R10 and C10...

Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

No pushing in on the waiting line, I want the first one when they get back in stock. I put my hand up for one weeks ago and I find myself checking every second day if they are ready yet. And yes I do need help, I am addicted to these tube pedals. It's not a bad addiction to have though. I am...

Bathtub Reverb - tube-driven digital reverb

Now it looks like I have another pedal I haven't built yet, still need the Vampire Slayer, Supersonic and now the Spring Noodle as well. Its a hard life but someone has to do it :)

    Bass Dude

You might have a tube that does not like only 9V on the heater, most tubes run ok with 9V on the heater but it takes a bit longer to heat up with 9V. The tubes are designed to run on 12.6V +- 10% on the heaters but can be run on less heater voltage usually.

    C2C Electronics Summer Break

I might have to order a Vampire Slayer when I get a Supersonic as well, I don't want to leave just the one out.

Choice of tube in Particle Acclerator?

The ratings are the limit for that tube, not what it will draw when used. The rest of the circuit determines the current flowing in the tube. (apart from the heaters) As long as the ratings are above what is needed it will be fine. Just because the speedo in a car says max 260 kph does not mean...

    Nobelium Build 50kHz issue

And please post some pictures, they are very much appreciated around here whether there are problems or not. Include a pedal board shot with some of your other pedals if you can. :) Thanks Michael EDIT: It looks like that pedalboard comes with a WT PB 40 power board, it has 2 outputs at...

    C2C Electronics Summer Break

I am already waiting for it, I only have 2 PCB's left to buy from C2CE, the Supersonic and the Vampire Slayer. I am hesitating to get the Vampire Slayer since I got all the others, is the Vampire Slayer useful when you have all the rest as well ?

    Nobelium Build 50kHz issue

Are you using the Palmer PWT-08 power supply ? The best way to check the power supply noise issue is to hook the pedal up to a battery and run the test again, a car / motorcycle / ride on mower etc battery should be fine to supply a clean 12v supply. If you can build a pedal you can work out...

    King Nothing Low Volume

It does make you wonder, it would not be hard to run wires and use 2 switches SPST ON-OFF as there are really only an on/off function for both of those settings if separated. High Gain on or off Low Pass on or off Now it is: High Gain no LP, Normal Gain no LP, Normal Gain LP on. With the other...

    King Nothing Low Volume

I worked out the LOW switch is a High Pass filter with frequencies at 68Hz 386Hz and 167Hz, the R11 C10 setup looks like a Low Pass filter to me, I worked out the frequency at 721Hz when C10 is connected to ground. (that seems wrong to me so I might have screwed up there) I cant remember how to...

    King Nothing Low Volume

I might as well post it here as well I just tested a A-5413 DPDT ON-ON-ON switch from Tayda and traced the PCB with my multimeter, in the middle position the switch does nothing at all. In the middle position the resistors are not shorted/bypassed to ground at all, when pointed towards the tube...

Which switch for DPDT King Nothing?

I just placed the switch into a bare King Nothing PCB and in the middle position there is nothing connected,I would say that a normal ON-OFF-ON switch could be used in the King Nothing.

Which switch for DPDT King Nothing?

Type 2. I just looked in my switch draw and found a pack of 4 Tayda A-5413 DPDT ON-ON-ON switches in there. Looking at the terminal side when I test them they are Type 2 switches Cheers Mick

    Parts Source for Knobs

I buy most of my components from Tayda because of the great price so I also buy most of my knobs from them. They have a great selection from cheap as to some very nice aluminium knobs as well. Apparently some countries charge an import tax that screws up their great prices but in Australia they...
