    Vampire Slayer DIY PCB?

I'm definitely interested in picking one of these up. I live mostly in the acoustic world and tube buffers do some magic to piezo pickups. Is bumping up the input impedence as easy as increasing R3? I'd like to try ~10M

    Pedal Power from Phantom Power?

Since I'm going use this to gig, I don't get a choice what I plug into. The IEC phantom power spec has 6.8k resistors on each power pin. At a maximum, each pin can deliver 7mA for 14mA total. While custom pres or studio equipment can be spec'd to whatever, image any pro audio/live equipment is...

    Pedal Power from Phantom Power?

It's going to have a standard 9vDC power section option, that part is easy. As far as can tell, there is no standard design for phantom power for pedals so I have to figure it out. My inspiration for this preamp is the mxr m81 and its phantom powered capability sets it apart from any other...

    Pedal Power from Phantom Power?

A preamp pedal/di. I should be able to get at least 30mA at 12v I believe A boss ge-7 is speced to draw 30Ma I'm using a similar topology so I should be able to get in a similar ballpark I'm going to have to spend some time tracking down some high quality, low power opamps though. Tl062s...

    Pedal Power from Phantom Power?

My mxr m81 bass preamp is cable of running on 9volt dc/batter/or phantom power. It's one of my favorite features because I can just grab and go, no power chords needed. I working on my own preamp right now and I would love to add a phantom power feature. Phantom power is 48V and can provide a...

Particle Accelerator - Alembic F-2B clone

I won the 2020 he gave away recently. It sounds good but I haven't really put it though it's paces yet. I think I'm going to stick it after my Deep Dish. LBA looks like the right choice

Particle Accelerator - Alembic F-2B clone

Any recommendations? I'm thinking cinemag but I don't have any particular reason for that choice besides their reputation

Particle Accelerator - Alembic F-2B clone

Would there be any issue sticking a di transformer in the same box as a PA? I don't see any reason there would be. A PA would be a great replacement for my MXR m81 at the end of my board

On Target! Cloning the EQD Arrows

I have a few of these. I like it for anytime I need a cleanish boost. I recently cracked one open and added switchable clipping diodes and bigger in/out caps for bass. I was wanting a jptr fx jive, this comes pretty close
