AMT Legend R2 pedal or schematic?

It's interesting how the J201 kind of just became the standard for these types of circuits. Was the J113 just not really around back then?

    LiveSpice

Does anyone here use LiveSpice? I like that you can change components and instantly hear the effect and feel by just playing your guitar, also allows useful stuff like adding power amp sim and cab IR afterwards if you use the VST version. The only problem is, the component selection is quite...

AMT Legend R2 pedal or schematic?

I'd love to discuss the theory behind these pedals a bit more. Did we ever get to the bottom of the purpose of the J177? Also, why do the FETs not need to be biased individually, is it something about the design, or is the parameter spread of the 2sk280-R just really tight?

Has Anyone Seen This JFET Matching PCB Project?

Is the button to switch to IDSS mode?

    Create Reusable Patterns

Hey folks! So some elements of my circuit designs get a lot of use, like this JFET buffer for instance. What I want is to be able to save this as a component so that I can just add the whole buffer circuit to a schematic and have it pre-laid out once I go to the PCB layout phase and have all...

    Topor Lite

Might be a weird request, but did anyone ever get a copy of ToporLite, I guess preferably v7. Seems impossible to get off the internet now as the Emerex site is really badly maintained and they've moved on to this Delta Design platform.

Most Economic Way to Get Daughter Boards Printed

That's actually what I wanted to hear. Will make it much easier to solder all the components on that way.

Most Economic Way to Get Daughter Boards Printed

Another question, do they break the boards apart for you or do they come in one big panel that you break apart yourself?

Recommended components for JLCPCB assembly process...

I live in New Zealand so non of those worries for me luckily.

Recommended components for JLCPCB assembly process...

Another question. There's a couple components I want to finalise my self like ICs and JFETs. Would it be a bad idea, given a lot of the components are already in place, to use a PCB heater to help place the final components.

Recommended components for JLCPCB assembly process...

I thought I would start easy and make a Boss SD-1 clone for assembly. I've found the basic parts cap selection a little disappointing though, they didn't have 18n or 27n for instance. What do y'all do in this instance? Do you eat the cost of the $3 for the extended parts? For me I'm only making...

    Pastel 2N6429

Follow up questions. Are the values in the circuit tuned to the 2n6429 specifically? I see a lot of the values match the original Neve circuit but not all of them.

Anyone know the answer to this?

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

I can confirm no Tariff charges when ordering to New Zealand, I imagine it's the same everywhere outside the US.

    Cobbler (V1 Copper) reducing brightness

If you want to calculate the actual frequency I use this calculator. It's essentially the value of R6 or R12 and the cap value. https://www.digikey.co.nz/en/resources/conversion-calculators/conversion-calculator-low-pass-and-high-pass-filter

    Cobbler (V1 Copper) reducing brightness

Anyway see how in the first "tube" there's a 100p cap? That forms a low pass that rounds off the harmonics. You can additionally add that same value cap to the other two clipping stages. You can populate R6 and R12 with both the resistor and cap to create the same parellel arrangement as C3 R4.

    Pastel 2N6429

Hey folks. On GroupDIY it's mentioned the BC549C (which I already have a bunch of) works in Neve preamps. Would it work in the Pastel too? https://groupdiy.com/threads/replacements-for-bc184c-transistor.51340/page-2#post-685599
