I tried using the contour tool from a clean back up of the file, and I seem to be still getting those artifacts.
I also tried using the stroke feature again, and noticed those artifacts showed up when I convert them to vectors. I don't know if the two are connected or not, just thinking out loud.
I've attempted using the contour function, using your settings. I'm getting the following artifacts.
Do you think it might be a flaw with the font? Would it be worth trying a new font all together?
I want to thank you for your help and infinite patience.
If you ever find yourself in...
I think I have it now.
I found the T and L in Treble were only in the white layer, so I copied them over to the colour layer and added strokes as well.
Thanks! I did forget that!
I've added bleed to everything, and I changed the stroke colour. However, the stroke is still showing up as black.
Might you know what I've done wrong?
I don't blame you one bit. Their prices are ludicrous.
@Brett I installed Designer today and gave it a go. If I did this right, I already like Designer better than Illustrator.
I increased the red type 0.1pts to make it just that much bigger than the white. Did I do it correctly?
That’s good to know!
What is community around Affinity like? I know that Illustrator is the industry standard, so there are lots of resources for it.
Is there something similar for Affinity?
That makes sense, thank you.
Yeah, at this point I have either Illustrator at the library, or I can use Inkscape at home.
How hard is it to learn Affinity?
@Brett sorry to bother you again.
I wanted to edit the PDF you had posted so that the coloured lettering was just a bit bigger than the white under layer as per your suggestion. I opened it up in Illustrator today, and I saw that everything was in one layer. Is that correct, so long as they...
That's amazing! Thank you so much.
I'm a complete an utter beginner with Illustrator, so even simple things take me some time. I really appreciate this.
Thanks!
Last winter we actually had a class and built the Friendly Fire fuzz. Then this winter, we did a tremolo pedal using an LED flashlight and a computer fan.
I've ordered one pedal from Tayda with a UV print and that one went through with a little bit of issue, but I was able to sort it. That pedal was entirely printed in white, I've never done a colour pedal before.
I think I have done everything correctly, but would someone with more expertise...
I've put together a Byrdhouse and I get pass through with no issues. When I stomp the switch however, I get a significant volume drop.
I've tried changing the trim pot, but I still don't get anywhere close to unity volume.
