    Promethium / HM-2

I actually quite like it with bass cranked, gain cranked, and treble around noon or lower. Some nice doomy electric wizardy stuff

    Wah Advice

I just got a used BBE Ben Wah, which is the ShamWah. The effort sourcing, finagling, and building the parts and shell landed the project on the wrong side of the "DIY vs. NIB" plot for me, especially as I'm a very occasional Wah user. And I could just use that time and effort to build yet...

Son of Ben and Graphite Distortion

Can testify that the Graphite Distortion is REAL nice. I socketed the modern values, and actually prefer the non-modern version for most heinous shreddly tones.

Yup, I am in DC. We talking commissions, here? Hahaha... Anyway, can PM you with deets.

After about a week, I can't stop reaching for this shiny little rectangular prism of joy. I effing LOVE this pedal. So versatile. Rawk to hair metal to doom to high gain high on fire type metal with the toggles. Throw the guitar volume attenuation in there, and you have some low-mid gain...

Thank you much, @Robert and @Nostradoomus I will investigate.

Forgive my ignorance, but I assume the output pulldown would be 1M to ground, T'd into the board output to 3pdt line? or anywhere between board and output jack? Mirroring the input PDR, basically?

For general information, I also subbed TL072s for the RC4558s in my PCBGM Sunn Beta and actually prefer it.

Some older builds for friends: deflector, twin face, dragon's breath

Thanks, I'll pass the info along to my friend who is the owner of the pedal. He's a synth head, so I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue to insert sockets and muck about.

Unclear to me why the pops. PDR is 1M and in the right spot according the schematic, so.... ? Guess a continuity probe/jumper to ground is in order. I wouldn't think the balanced out/XLR board would affect anything, but maybe? I don't feel like desoldering/resoldering all those dang pins.

Some older builds for friends: deflector, twin face, dragon's breath

Sorry, some have no gutshots since I don't have them. pPCB deflector aka Spirit Architecture: pPCB Twin Face aka Janus: pPCB Dragon's Breath (can't remember what I called it)

Holy geez. Most intense boxing ever. Crowded layout, double layers putting component ends on top of ICs and barely enough 3pdt threads to hang the nut, that big honking dual gang pot pushing all the off-board levels up, a huge 220 cap, and that's before I decided I wanted to try to make...

DEMO My most asked question, it's not what you think!

Vwah-lah Mone ahmee Got it sight unseen (pandemic purchase) online used at guitar center. It is so fun to play. Awesome tones and the neck and bridge and string spacing just jive really well with me. I like everything about it. Except it is heavy AF. Heavier than my T-40.

    First pedal complete!

Great first build! I super dig that bezel and the pedal graphics/design choices. I think you only need one 4k7 for the LED, which is actually R100, so I don't think you need to provide any more. Generally PPCB incorporates the LED resistor in the board. You didn't provide pics of the...

My Tribute L-2500 5-clapper is my favorite bass. If only it wasn't so heavy.

They do... for bass, and they are intense

    Biggus Dickus PTP think-along

Fixed version Moved the 4n7 cap from the bottom to the top pin for the bright switch. For the bass pot, I had wired pin 1 to pin 2 instead pin 3 to pin 2 for some reason. Snipped and reinstalled a jumper. All is good. Luckily the mid pot was correct; treble as well. The corrected tone...

Hahaha, I was just following your suggestions! Anyway, I'm always open to any discussions and provision of dubious advice on PTP builds, anytime, anyone. They are a super good time.
