I'm gonna show some appreciation to another friend I've made through the world of DIY effects building. This time it's Will, aka @Harry Klippton Not only has this guy very graciously designed a brand logo for me but, he also sent me a Weener Wah pcb recently. Dude has been another of those...
Special shoutout and thanks to @thewintersoldier for hooking me up with this pcb. It’s the Guardians of the Analog Power Boost. Essentially, the Madbean Donut but designed for a 125b enclosure. The Donut is basically an EHX LPB-1. There’s no fancy stuff going on with this circuit. Just a...
Thanks for the kind words. I’ve actually spent various parts of my day comparing the two. It’s not a completely different animal but there’s definitely a difference. If I had proper recording gear I would do a comparison video but, just using my iPhone camera in the room doesn’t capture it...
Just the fact that you’d be purchasing a verified layout and board is an upgrade. Shit! Did I say that out loud? Anywho, you can’t go wrong with the current lover or old chap. They both sound great, and have they’re own flavor. The most important difference is that the Old Chap requires 18v.
Man oh man, do I love me some analog flanger. This is my second mistress style build and like the first one, I love this thing. Is it a completely different animal compared the Madbean Current Lover? No. Is it different than the Current Lover? Absolutely. Compared to the Current lover...
First off, a shout out to @thewintersoldier for hooking me up with the mojo for this build. Second, it’s a Rat. The OG distortion box. We all know it, we’ve all played it, and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you need to get with it.
