Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

To be fair, I didn’t have to explain the joke to anybody else but you. The question wasn’t a joke, just the Satan part 👍 Any way, have a good day mate.

Anybody have kicad symbol and footprint for 1P8T mini rotary switch?

This one is throwing me for a loop, once you flip the footprint, the "A" pad is in the correct orientation but the pads are labelled in reverse. If you don't flip it, the pads are in the right position but the "A" pad is in the wrong position. Are you sure you've used this footprint before?

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

Sure I'll help you out. The joke is that in popular media (both cinema and literature, and otherwise) Satanic symbols are often depicted as graphic symbols usually in a circular manner. I've helpfully attached two examples, please find these below. The joke was a jab at the fact that I was...

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

Ah, so it's not an internal series of intricate pulleys and levers that attach different traces to each other (cue stone scraping sound effects) whenever the user turns the Master Dial.

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

I hope you do realise i was joking about the satanic thing!

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

Sure did but I grew up in Africa, so we were too busy navigating through a whole bunch of... other problems 😅

Does the silkscreen pattern under the 1PDT have any mechanical meaning (traces etc below it)?

I know it's a dumb question, but I'm setting up to route a 1P8T for the first time, and noticed that the footprint used on PedalPCB boards has this intricate (read satanic) silkscreen pattern under it, is this just for illustrative purposes or does it reference any kind of required (or...

Possible solution to reduce the noise of the terrarium build

So the low pass filter above saved this pedal for me, just dropping in chime in and say that this worked for me using the 10K and 1nF values Thanks

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

Because I know ya'll are having sleepness nights over this, @Robert @Brett, the final resistor in my schematic was accidentally a 1M instead of a 1K, i probed it and cross referenced my trace with the original and I found that error. Version 1.1 will have thicker traces and that fixed up...

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

That’s correct, I’m away from my computer but I recall one plane is meant to be VREF, is this voltage divider even going to work with the way that 33K is connected to both planes? It almost looks like something that is technically correct to the KiCad but not actually dividing the voltage correctly

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

just looking again, I just be that 33K that’s the problem, I don’t know what I did there to mess that up so bad

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

Y Youre right, that 33K isn’t connected, good eye. Also with the rails, totally fair enough, I plan to beef these up for the next version once I fix this one. I SUCK at layout so the decoupling caps are there if they’re there in the schematic, but probably not placed in a logical place. I...

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

Good point, my trace can be found in this Drive folder https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FIDuSbZpVIdifQoRIoXX4nQlqrcEMB1i Enclosures are actually ported over from this Eagle library, it has 3D models included too...

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

I’ve left all frequencies at midpoint (they’re slide pots, all B10K). A GE-7 is meant to boost or cut the level from the center on the level pot, so I’m confused by this one is cutting the signal in half at center. This is my own PCB. I’m hoping to not modify the schematic but instead try fix...

I built a GE-7 clone based on this schematic, but the volume isn't unity at 50% of volume pot, it's near unity (not quite) at 100% volume pot?

Here's the schematic, I'm wondering if any bright minds have ideas on where i should start with troubleshooting this, I've used the same ICs as recommended in the schematic https://effectslayouts.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Prismatic-EQ-Build-Doc.pdf

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

Hmmm nah at the moment it’s just Q1 - Q3 of the big muff straight into C12, so I just have the one IC, level is now the volume out right at the output. How dumb am I being? Should I bring back a buffer? I tried just swapping out the tone network between IC1 pin 7 and back into IC2 1 and 2...

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

I just pulled the IC and replaced it with another one and the values are now the same as yours, i replaced the other IC in and back to incorrect values, then new one again, same as yours, thanks for helping me out with this!

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

    It's all plugged in pretty tightly, here's what I'm getting 1 8.7v 2 8.6V 3 8.5V 4 0V 5 4.6v 6 4.6V 7 8.6V 8 9.2V But be worth trying a different IC
