    What's on the workbench?

Is it just like the pink one, but not as cool?

    What's on the workbench?

He’s not the messiah, he’s just a naughty fuzz pedal (I couldn’t work out how to add a gif from the film )

    What's on the workbench?

Out of interest why? I recently sold my C4, fantastic but the lack of knobs and switching presets was horrid. (And it’s oc2 octave style just felt wrong) Borrowing an Artifakt and with the 16 presets plus 7 on the front, plus the extra controls I think they have fixed that. Not tried the fi

TRANSFORMERS, all PPCB projects, in disguise... (& hall-of-infamous inductors)

@Feral Feline - I used to have a Warwick Helleborg preamp it was an amazing thing and I think the "sound" came from the transformers, I've kept my ears open for pedal preamps that include transformers ever since. I've ended up with a JHS colourbox v2 on my board which is pretty good. - I've...

    What's on the workbench?

The C4 synth is similar but different - my issue is I’m on a journey from zoom multifx to hx stomp and then very much enjoying individual effects, mostly analogue - I stare at screens all day for work - there’s a bit of me that doesn’t want to do that when I’m not working. Having said that I...

    What's on the workbench?

I had a SA C4 synth - it made my head hurt. Borrowing a SA Artifakt and will see if that can scratch the same itch in a more user friendly way...

    What's on the workbench?

I think it’s a cartoon reference or something What’s interesting is in bass world it keeps being described as unique synthy distortion with only the prunes and custard or SA wave folding distortion getting close. He stopped building for a while and the prices went utterly mental and even what...

    What's on the workbench?

It’s a blues breaker with mods …. All the bass players ask you not to distract Robert from that Doom2 which (apparently) is fairly unique … :) (and I guess isn’t going to be a bundle with a preamp pcb you don’t want at the same time…)

What's your favorite distortion, drive, or fuzz for bass?

I've built both and it's not even close. Plus they are massive and pretty much a BMW nowadays ran both and it was ok, I actually had three mini into each other at one point.... personally prefer something else into it... I want to build something more distortion fuzz end. Curds and Whey...

What's your favorite distortion, drive, or fuzz for bass?

I see your chip shop @Feral Feline and raise you a smallsound/bigsound mini - similar topology and can cover similar ground but just more moreness. Use C1M for the bass pot and select jfets just like you need to for the barbershop …

Gorva m45 with top jacks - yay or nay?

If the PCB is 57.15mm wide then it needs to loose 1.6mm (0.7mm off each side) to fit so that should just about work, is the other side similar clearance? (and how accurate is the 57.15mm width? I've though I'ver laid out a pcb for the grove M45 It's a lot simpler to buy one PedalPCB pcb via...

Gorva m45 with top jacks - yay or nay?

(Or if anyone knows if the curds and whey board can be sanded down for a 1590b)

Gorva m45 with top jacks - yay or nay?

I want to build a prunes and custard/curds and whey - but no bigger than 1590b - PedalPCB pcb is a little too wide for 1590b :( so looks like I’ll be doing my own Which got me looking at the smaller gorva m45 - which I know can be done with all top jacks - just is it a good idea too?!
