Bazz Fuss or Muff tuned to some bass specs. Chucks Kliche for bass is also pretty sweet

I see your chip shop @Feral Feline and raise you a smallsound/bigsound mini - similar topology and can cover similar ground but just more moreness. Use C1M for the bass pot and select jfets just like you need to for the barbershop …

Yeah, it was a tough choice between the Chop and the Mini... que por no los duos?
I've built both and it's not even close.
Plus they are massive and pretty much a BMW nowadays
ran both and it was ok, I actually had three mini into each other at one point.... personally prefer something else into it...
I want to build something more distortion fuzz end. Curds and Whey (Prunes and Custard) and very excited that "on my workbench" featured a photo of a 3leaf you're doom 2 a week or so back...

Lots of excellent suggestions already posted here. I'm currently using a dizzy tone fuzz (ppcb gnat) and a phat phuk b on vero for my main dirt tones. Chuck d bones bass kliché and curds & whey are also on my board. There's a madbean gas tank too but that's mainly an add on to my junk trunk build. That combination is awesome though.
In my practice nook(aka workbench, aka laundry room), I reach for the ppcb akronym and effects layouts grizzled grime a lot lately. Moonn lofran is a staple for me that got bumped by the dizzy tone. It's the most recent bmp cousin to grace my rig. Frantone muffs are excellent for bass in general. Been playing with my sushibox bassdude a bunch too.
