    No wet output on Circulator

Have you checked for Vref and Ground anywhere according to the schematic?

Intro and first pedal build. 3/3/22 Update.

Tayda sells the pot covers for cheap if you are already sourcing parts there, you can also use tape in a pinch. The mod is just a bit more involved than that. Bump C10 and C11 up to 100uF Omit the charge pump, C21 and C22 Jumper D14 and D15 The paragon mini leaves out the charge pump so you...

Intro and first pedal build. 3/3/22 Update.

Welcome. Looks like a nice tidy build. That one is on my to do list somewhere down the line.

    Request Pedalpcb War Scythe 1590XX

Thanks, but there isn't anything to it really. I just print the layout, make a couple folds and measure the dots to the fold lines with a caliper.

https://drill.taydakits.com/box-designs/new?public_key=c2F3RmZGcm5DUFJmb3dqZEdwWGh5UT09Cg== Use your preferred LED and power jack hole diameter. I used 3mm for the LED and 13 for the power as that matches the parts I prefer. I added the 0.2mm for the powder coating already.

    SOLVED Switch Popping

Replacing the 2U2 fixed the pop for the THR and Princeton! Thanks for your suggestions. Now to dig into the Vox to find the source of the DC leakage.

    SOLVED Switch Popping

Didn't help Vox AC4, Fender Princeton Reverb, Yamaha THR10II. It is there but the volume of the pop is different. I measured a significant DC leakage from the input on the AC4. Thanks for suggesting that. No change when tapping. TBD

    SOLVED Switch Popping

Definitely more voltage across the output jack than I see on a quiet pedal when switching.

    SOLVED Switch Popping

I'm not sure. That's why I'm asking for help. I did just measure across the output jack and while switching I can see a 10-15 mV spike across it. I'll have to check that against another pedal to see if it is normal and expected.

    SOLVED Switch Popping

I just tried a new switch, new breakout board and new LED and it still pops like it is its job. C27 is the capacitor nearest the output, it is a film cap, should I start there for leakage voltage?

    SOLVED Switch Popping

I build the Andromeda deluxe and love almost everything about it. When I engage the switch, it pops through the amplifier. I tried adding the delay circuit described here with no difference. This starting additional testing and while troubleshooting, I noticed that the pop occurs with nothing...

Kliché Mini Mod for more bass in the distortion, higher treble gain with the tone pot and a smoother overdrive

Stomp Box Parts currently has a decent stock of NOS Ge diodes. They don't sell them matched, so I bought 10 and got 2 pairs that were matched, YMMV.

Easy way to source components, etc?

Some other tips if you are impatient and don't have the exact component you need. Resistance adds in series, so you can put two resistors together to make a larger value. Resistance drops in parallel but with the following (R1+R2)/(R1*R2). Capacitance adds in parallel and drops in series. You...

Trying to find high-end audio components -- any of you used vishay resistors?

I have used Vishay and could not tell any difference between them and any other brand as long as they are within spec. 1% metal film resistors should be fine. If you want to be extra careful about it, measure every component to get as close as possible to the intended value for the component...

    Test SMD J201

Continuity checked out, thanks. I was thinking a bit too deep, I was considering trying to use the through hole pads to send a voltage through them and check them that way. I've already have some of those adapters, but didn't even think about using them since the pads were on the board already.

    Test SMD J201

I just completed my first surface mount soldering and I'm interested if anyone knows of a way to test them before I finish populating the board. I'd like to know if my solder joints are good before it gets too cluttered to fix them. I'm building the golden falk overdrive.

    1590BB PedalPCB VHS (1590BB)

Use LED and power diameter values for your preferred component. The X,Y position and diameters for the rest of the components should be good and already include the powder coat 0.2mm https://drill.taydakits.com/box-designs/new?public_key=eE0zK0tMY2RVUnp6alI1Mmp0V1NnQT09Cg==

    REQUEST-Effects Layouts Widogast

I am confident in the X,Y positions for everything. I am not confident in the diameter of the rotary switch. Double check that and also use whatever diameter you prefer for LED and power jack. I added the 0.2mm for powder coating to what I have already...

    Faceplates from Amplifyfun

I contacted them to get some made, but I'm too dense to understand how to make the vector files they need to create the faceplate. Circuits and schematics 🥱 graphics and inkscape 😵‍💫
