I love this one.
I used 2n3903s instead of MPSA18. I biased like here:

I got rid of the complex ground scheme in the build doc, and wired the stomp switch PPCB style. The board fills a 1590bb2 and my input jack barely...
I leave the transformer switched on for the most part, mostly because the board it’s on is sometimes used as a high frequency (buffered) loop from my bass board. But yeah, that’s been my experience too (also with the Aion Penumbra).
Looks great!
I’m pretty sure I biased to whatever is in the build doc and then didn’t bother to tweak by ear because I was very happy with how it sounded as is.
Mayonnaise is my favorite at the moment but I adapted a Shika board to build a Champion Fuzz Unit last weekend after reading about it in this thread and it's definitely going into the rotation.
I just got a bunch of the Weico from AES. I have been using the wire from Remington.
The wire from Remington is great except it’s not pre-bonded. I’ve always been a little nervous a stray strand is going to cause an issue but it’s never happened to me.
My very initial impressions of the Weico...
USA here (Minneapolis). My last experience with DHL was also bad. I pre-signed because I figured that would make it easier for the driver. It made it easier to just drop my package somewhere else. Like many these days I have a security camera covering my front door and the street and could...
No I want to try clear coat sometime but what I do is 10 mins at 235F, cool, remove decal plastic, then a very thin coat of the magic glue that comes with the decal paper, and back in the oven for 1-2 hours. It seems be really durable.
Black toner and white paint pen (sometimes red, yellow, etc). I mostly use white to make things pop better on the raw enclosures. I’ve not had good luck doing large areas with the paint pens, it comes out blotchy for me, so I just do a bit.
For example on the Dr Robert there’s white paint pen...
First up the Pharmicist. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it either. I also built (but never boxed) the Mockler and Woman Tone. I feel the same about those too. I guess I should skip building any more Aclam stuff.
Next are the last “normie” pedals for a moment. I have a pile of DeadEnd...
I picked up some 2N3903s from EG (thanks @Chuck D. Bones !) and some MPS6548s - I don’t mind a little twisting…
The KT315 is intriguing. Is it possible to twist them to fit TO-92 shape?
I’m interested too. I went through my little trove the other day looking for transistors for a Super Fuzz and found I really didn’t have anything under a 100.
I finished this up yesterday. I've had this board for a bit, but whenever I'd take the PCB out to look at it my eyes would glaze over. I'm not going to lie, this was one of my least favorite boards to populate.
I usually work on 2-4 different builds at a time. I'll go through and do all the...
This is an Warlow clone I bought from Reverb. It’s a PPCB board so I won’t post more details because the maker might visit this board.
I was getting a ton of RFish noise on my pedal board which is usually pretty quiet. I tracked it down to this pedal and it happened even when bypassed. I...
Thank you!
I ordered the GT402s from StompBoxParts pre-binned. For the Twin Bender I went with a 60-70, 90-100, and a 110-120. For the Solaris I used a 70-80, and a 120-130.
I do the drilling by hand, using (film free) decals for my marks.
