The original Polivoks has similar knobs. They're kinda offputting when you see by themselves, but on a build like this, that has this factory machinery remote control unit vibe to it (your tag does a lot of heavy lifting on that)!, they add a lot of character! <3 Also! 🙈

Why do reverb tanks use RCA jacks? Only thing I could figure is because these connectors are much shorter, and a regular TS jack would stick out all silly or sideways .Shielded TS would function all he same as shielded RCA...?
