Why bother? Building the mono version already sets you back 100,- (see build doc) and you only have seven settings. This while the waza has 20 settings, and you can get one for less than 150,- used. Cram it in a new box by your own design, and you have a superior product for about the same...

Indeed! I like how even playing a few times a week over the last two years made a lot of guitar-based music more interesting. Even if I still suck, it has that going for it; your hearing starts to focus on different things. For me it's especially true for sounds that just break up. Catching that...

I think we all love plate reverb, but not on the instruments we tend to play here. :) If my brain wasn't so stubborn, I'd figure out how to use singing bowls as reverb.

Thanks! Looks like this tiny pedal DIY store in nearby city has something similar (8-20k range) among the handful of LDRs they're selling. Maybe a smart move to get a few for whatever might tickle my inspiration in the future.

Considering what's being requested, and for which genre, that's indeed the case. Something that covers the whole wide middleground, buy with a bit of charm and character. It feels to me everyone recommends pedals that have a bit of range to it, so the person has room to see what it exactly is...

What about the "lead mode" on the Formula 5F6? There's already the low gain excellence of the Bassman, but this additional voicing allows for quite the extended range; it's not modelled after anything, but sounds "American".

When did that ever matter? 🙈
