It's the most prominent thing I hear when the distortion kicks in. He is still playing the same high notes he plays clean in the intro, but when the distortion kicks in the high notes are distorted and there is an octave (or 2?) below also distorted. I don't hear it in any other live...

If you watch the video, He is still playing the same high intro part and James is strumming. Billy steps on the floor unit to turn the octave and the distortion on and off.

Anybody know what Billy is using to get that octave effect when the distortion first kicks in? He has a rack floor switcher and it sounds a bit digital. It seems to almost choke on that high note.

A few years ago, I bought some that look like this. They have a brownish tint. I haven't seen many like them but they are legit.

This makes no sense to me.... "Likes simple", and " not big into details"... Why not just go buy something off the shelf then. How much simpler could you get. Or just get a carbon copy. They are great.
