If your still working on this issue I have solved my really low output issues. The lone king I put electrolytic capacitors in the PCB instead of tantalums and I'm pretty sure I put in 22uf instead of 220nf which stifled the output. On the other pedal I put a 470nf instead of the 470pf it was...

Now it doesnt work outside the enclosure. I get a small amount of signal coming through and a whirring in the background like a plane engine is warming up. Assuming thats the charge pump. WTF.

PCB is kinda jammed in against the screw posts of the enclosure, could this distort PCB or effect things?

I'm pretty sure it's not the switch, it was actually finally 100% working before it went in the enclosure. I don't like how it fits in the enclosure im thinking about drilling a new one and seeing how it goes. Don't like the jack locations or PCB fit

Yep, as soon as it was in the box, it started squealing again. If the edge of the pcb is touching the inside of the enclosure in any way can that cause this? Spewing too, it worked fine out of the enclosure last night

I got as far as the gain pot with audible signal when audio probing. there was signal on pin 1 of the gain pot and nothing on the other two pins really, had to do it quietly though as everyone is asleep here. From there nothing on c4 etc.

Hi Andrew, when you say ensure continuity of the gain and volume jacks to ground pin #1, do you mean ensure there is continuity between pin 1 and 3 of volume and gain pots? When audio probing I only really get a strong signal on the left lug of the pot looking at it from the back, or non shaft...

Unfortunately, the problem persists regardless of whether there is a charge pump or not in there and remains the same not matter what type. I think I have to rule that out. That is some great info there that I will investigate, ground loops always seem like a mystery to me, thank you very much...

Yeah just looked at the build docs again, not sure how i went so wrong, 220nF tantalums, thanks for the heads up, very embarrassing. May as well order some and try that out, pretty sure it has to fix it.
