SOLVED Duo phase wiring, rate and switches

Yep, I'm an idiot. Just assumed the jack was a stereo jack because it had 3 lugs in the pretty picture. Didn't even know what a switched jack was. They say you learn something new everyday. Now I'm going to have to get some switched jacks. I believe that should solve most of my issues. Does...

SOLVED Duo phase wiring, rate and switches

The other LDRs are on the underside of the board, to help isolated the two sides. And I'm really not sure if I have the switching jack wired correctly at all. It looks like I have the ring of the stereo jack connected to the tip of the next sides input jack. Is that right, I think that is what I...

SOLVED Duo phase wiring, rate and switches

Nope, my one doesn't work like that, it only makes sound when you plug into right hand side in/out or left hand side. Have I done something wrong?

Ok thanks, I'll give it a go tonight

SOLVED Duo phase wiring, rate and switches

Ok, is there a mod that can be done to slow it down at all? Looking at the photo with this thread, I have realised I have the stereo jack on the right side, does that mean when the pedal is flipped over I should be plugging into the left side looking at the face of the pedal?

SOLVED Duo phase wiring, rate and switches

I have just finished a duo phase, picture attached. The rate seems pretty fast, maybe slightly faster on one side than the other. Do the trimpots affect this? Or is there a mod that can be done to get a bit more range in the rate? It's wired stereo at the moment and seems to be just two...

    SOLVED XC phase not phasing

I measured the voltage again, maybe I made a mistake last time, it's a pretty consistent 4.2v. does it matter that it is a matched pair of transistors? Should I switch back to the matched pair of 2n5457s?

    SOLVED XC phase not phasing

Yes the voltage goes crazy then back to zero. I just had another go of the trimpot and I turned it very slowly, still nothing. Will give it another go

    SOLVED XC phase not phasing

Just finished this pedal but there is no phasing. Definitely sound, and there is a sound difference when the switches are flicked but no phase. I just read another post with the same problem but I'd love some eyes on it in case I missed something else. Here's what I've tried: Started with...

    SOLVED Matching LEDs to LDRs

Hi all, Just building a duo phase and I have LDRs with the specs - 10-20k and 0.5M and 540nm. Firstly will these do, they are same specs as the ke 10720 that people seem to have used? Also the main question is that the build docs say to use a yellow led which has a wavelength of 575-595nm...

    Double Pendulum help

Thanks. While i have someone smart, the 4 extra solder holes on the 4PDT breakout board go to the tips of the 4 jacks that will be going in the top of the enclosure don't they?

    Double Pendulum help

This is my first stereo effect, and I'm just curious to know if i need to isolate the two groups of LED's and LDR's from each other with something dark? Usually I can find a build report of one done by someone a lot smarter than me but I can't seem to find one.

    SOLVED Testing components help

That is a pretty fair point, there would be no economical way for any of the big companies to test all their components as they go in to a pedal. I started doing it partly because I wanted to be as accurate as possible and for the sake of ruling out faulty components during the possibility of...

    SOLVED Testing components help

Thank you, I have looked at those a few times since this little crisis of mine. They are just under $400 AUD, if I knew it was 100% the way to go I would buy one. Haven't really had much feedback on them til now.

    SOLVED Testing components help

Thanks for that, I will get one. I believe that my DMM has 10M input impedence. Great post thanks.

    SOLVED Testing components help

Sorry, it's not a super expensive meter, but it seems reliable for most things. I have just read that a good quality LCR is probably a better option though
