So I’m starting to build this and these particular sockets have 4 pins. The other 2 pin sockets I got are too small to fit. Do I just clip the center two pins of the 4 pin?

I wanted to get some advice on what GE diodes to use in D2 and D3 of the Parentheses Mini. I believe its the octave part of the circuit but I could be wrong. Also, how should I go about socketing diodes? I'm not sure what type of socket I need.

Okay, so I took the board out of the enclosure and reflowed all of the joints. Unfortunately I’m still only getting the led when the power is on, just the same as before. Well from what I can tell only part on the board that is getting power is that diode, but not on the cathode. Am I supposed...

It’s measuring 9.28. I’m assuming the cathode is the side opposite the band? I’ll give this a try after work tomorrow. The only problem is that the pins for the IC socket are underneath the pot where I can’t reach them.

I’m measuring it from the “+” symbol on the board. All the pots have dust covers.

Ok, so this yielded some strange results. I’m getting 9.27v in, but nothing on almost every pin of the IC I’m getting -0.01v. Why wouldn’t the IC be getting any power at all?

Yes and yes unfortunately. Do you think it could be a power supply issue? I have another pedal that has the exact same problem as this one. True bypass works, but when power is on there’s no sound but the LED lights up.

I’m getting continuity from the cable to the enclosure. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks for the info!

It’s the one that came with the kit, I believe it’s an OP07 I will try this when I get home from work tomorrow, but I’m not sure what a patch cable is or how to use it. I apologize but I’m very new.

After finally getting everything wired up properly, the true bypass is working but there’s no sound when the power is on. The LED turns on but besides that, I’m getting no sound. Any tips on where to go from here? I really want to get this thing working for a gig next month
