    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

Half of them are all handwired point to point 😅 There are 2 marked "prototype" and 1 "custom" and one "tonehunter mod". I'll make some better pictures later today. Also empty enclosures were on the box.

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

Thnx! I've surprisingly acquired 15 Tonehunter pedals and some enclosures from this brand, all seated in a box gathering dust from a guy who's a radio and amp builder. He bought this stuff in a sale with all kinds of radio/musical equipment, but never did anything with it. Got it for cheap. 2...

    Tonehunter Ralf Reichen

As title says, does anyone here know anything about him and/or his pedals? I'm in need of some help..

What are the pedals every guitarist must have?

Boss SD-1 for sure. With R10 bridged and a blue led.

    Better Way To Cut Stripboard?

Yeah, my vero builds look like something a caveman would make.

    Better Way To Cut Stripboard?

I also use an boxcutter knife, sand the corners round, the sides flat. Often stick it on a piece of upside down painters tape 50mm wide and spraypaint it black matt. Just for looks. I like black, but any colour is better than the colour of the veroboard itself.

Stomping wrong and foot switch life

I don't know exactly what the "proper" way is to engage/disengage a footswitch. But in most broken footswitches i've opened the plastic/nylon slider was snapped in 2 or more pieces, or the contacts were bent causing intermitting in the signal If this is caused by excessive/forcefully stomping on...

    SOLVED Mach 1 background hiss

I got a similar issue with a Shrapnel (thorpy gunshot) I've build. When a note sustained and decayed slowly a sort of silent crackling appeared a then the note just stopped like it's beeing cut off suddenly. I was a bad (fake) opa2134. Swapped a tl072 in it's place.. problem gone. I can't...

    The excavation has begun....

Almost 2025, a very happy New year in advance for everybody here. Any news/update regarding the royal overdrive? Or is it a royal PITA? 😅

    KGR Arare/Lollar Overdrive

@MattG , @darwin999 I had put a 10nf at C1 and the 47nf at C5 accidentally. Swapped them around again after testing the finished pedal and finding the mistake .

    Finished Vero board insulation

I have done some self-adhesive velcro cut 2mm larger than the veroboard and dabbed some superglue on the edges and backside in the middle. Ditto on the back of the pots (plastic cover installed) so it keeps the board secure. Hook side on the board, loop side on the plastic pot covers. Works...

    RAT vs RAT2

I asked for the pedalpcb muroidea pcb. I don't know if I got a newer revision, but R9 on the pcb is a 10k. That's why I made the assumption that that was the resistor mentioned earlier regarding omitting it in the posted schematic. The schematic of the pedalpcb muroidea shows this R9 (10k) to...

    RAT vs RAT2

Thnx! I saw r9 is 10k resistor connecting to the 1uf going to volume on the pcb and assumed this was "that" resistor I read about in earlier posts.

    RAT vs RAT2

Will this work on the Muroidea pcb? Omitting R9 completely from the board, or do you need to jumper the pads?

Compulsive/ generated need buying from Das Musikding: was a mistake?

Klaus is very helpfull when mailing your questions to him. I know that they make the shipping labels for orders pretty fast, but it can take a while to actually ship. Maybe he accumulates the orders for, let's say a week, and then sends them out all at once. I guess it's more cost-effective to...
