Are you playing the pedal first in chain and/or not after a buffer or tuner? From what I understand the "havoc" needs to see the impedance of the guitar/pickup to sound it's best. Maybe test it as the only pedal in the chain to see if it sounds the same for you.

I also agree that a lot of the newer Tayda colors are using some kind of cheaper paint or process. They chip super easy. I suspect they are going cheaper to widen the margins. The color is great though.

The demo is completely useless to me. Once those chords kick in I just start singing about six strings, porches and the best days of my life. When it's over I forgot I was supposed to be listening to the pedal... Then I try again and the same thing happens.

I ordered some ICs from them earlier this year and they shipped them loose in a plastic bag inside a padded mailer. A couple of them were MN3005 chips which are 20 bucks each. Every single chip had it's legs mangled and/or was poking through the mailer. They didn't give me any problem returning...
