Right on! Looks great! I agree it's right in there with the Lightspeed and Timmy. It's hard to beat a Lightspeed for really low gain.
I need to do a side by side with the original LTD SR and the clone and post it. I think it's super close if not the same.
Yeah I picked those up too. I'm excited to start them, leave them on my bench and never finish them... Then I'll read your build report, watch your demo video, get jealous and then not get motivated enough to finish them!
You could also use a Boss Line Selector pedal. I love using it on bass to blend a dry signal with a fuzz/distortion signal to get some growl but still retain the original low end.
Yeah I feel somewhat the same. I follow their FB and check the site regularly but I always feel like I miss the news, releases, sales etc. I just followed them on IG and it seems they might be a little more active there. Or maybe the algorithms really don't know me at all...
Absolutely they have saved my ass on more than one occasion! But doesn't mean I have to like it!!! I just wish layouts weren't built purposefully for those jacks. I did buy a few of these recently but haven't used them yet. It doesn't win you space coming down into the board but they definitely...
Great build! I have a vintage one with the power cable built in. I've been eyeing up this project as a modern replacement.
That's my only real gripe about MBP is that they build most of their projects around the Lumberg jacks. I love their projects and the boards are great to work on, I just...
According to her, she was the first builder to utilize the 386. Either way, certainly a pioneer. I liken it to ProCo. They've taken the Rat circuit and made it into several different pedals by just changing the clipping diodes!
Maybe set and mark off the settings on the trimmer before installing? That way you can tweak it but also have the stock setting readily available. Personally I think the trimmer is fine and gives you that tiny bit more flexibility with your rig.
That's a good question. I think just 1 and 2 but it might need to be jumpered to 3 too. I've always used the trimmer and just set it to where it sounds close. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in?
