    Friedman Smallbox OD: BAV99s?

Sorry, I haven't checked over on FSB, but was just curious: does the stock Friedman Smallbox OD use the same BAV99 diodes for clipping that the BE and DS ODs use?

Any ETA on the SynchroWah and SynchroTrem? Those are the only ones on my list at this point.

    Ground Question - in/out jacks

Troubleshooting a little buzz when I'm playing - this is on the Complex OD and Lead Solder OD, but the question is in general - noticed something with the grounding, and I'm wondering if there is some redundancy going on. If so, it could be a culprit for extra noise due to a ground loop? I know...

    PedalPCB Derailer build (Ethos TWE-1)

Damn - that's hot. I decided to make it easy on myself and went with the PPCB faceplate - should be here today.

Guvenator - More Cowbell! No, I mean more Bass

Wampler ID'd some mod option years ago, including more bass, but I can't find the link. It was an old video.

    Byzantium (Boss BF-2 flanger)

Gorgeous build! How'd you do the white lettering? It kinda looks like a label/piece of thin plastic, but can't tell.

Mesa MkIII / 90s Trey amp in a box pedal?

Closest thing I can think of is the MI Audio Tube Zone. PPCB has a board here, with 7 knobs. Second closest would MAYBE be the Boogeyman (from the guy who designed the Dr Boogey); it's a Mesa Mark II-inspired circuit.

Best way to toggle between two different cap values with no popping?

What is the best way to toggle between two capacitor values, when (the larger) one is an electrolytic and the other is not? Was thinking about a plain 'ol DPDT with the larger cap soldered across the center lugs, and the other cap across one set of the outer lugs. (C1 and C1+C2 options) My...

For you folks using vero board, or non-board-mounted pots: wiring questions

Same here. Mine are mainly 'just get it working but fit inside' condiition most of the time. ^^^^HamishR's is tight. (y)

Why is there no official schematic for the Ibanez Sonic Distortion?

It's ok - I've since picked up a Maxon SD9. My query was based on the fact that I've seen multiple factory schematics and service manuals over the years for Ibanez pedals, even some relatively obscure/older ones. I just figured the same info would be easier/available for the SD9, as it was...

For you folks using vero board, or non-board-mounted pots: wiring questions

Sorry, yes, it's stranded Don't know if the Tayda stuff is decent quality or not - haven't used 24 AWG in years

For you folks using vero board, or non-board-mounted pots: wiring questions

I built out a DS-1 recently using all off-board wiring. I used 22 AWG from Smallbear. It's generally ok, but I so stiff if you have a lot of wiring going on inside the case. I had to make some changes to the DS-1 build, so I rewired it up, using all 24 AWG this time; I was running out of 22 AWG...

Pedal companies that also sell pcbs/kits? (Frost Giant, EAE, Catalinbread,GCI)

No, but he has used that screenname for years. I just remember there was his CrankedAC, and a Marshall Guv'nor - can't remember the others. They were kits very similar to General Guitar Gadgets.

    Three footswitches in a 1790NS?

Yeah, thanks. That 2nd shot seals the deal for me - sticking with 2 footswitches.

    Three footswitches in a 1790NS?

I've got a (somewhat) complex build going into a 1790NS, with two footswitches and a couple of toggles at the top. I'd like to move one of those toggles down to a footswitch - just concerned about the spacing. Is it possible for three footswitches in one of these enclosures, or is the middle...

    Just curious: 125B vs 1590B?

The correct answer is a 1590DD w/side jacks.

    Just curious: 125B vs 1590B?

I'm torn between using 1590B cases w/side-mount jacks vs 125B with top-mount. The 125B would be narrower and offer more internal space, but there's something I love about 1590Bs. I just saw the 1590B with top-mounts, and looks like the best of both worlds - just looks like a TIGHT fit. I'm...

    Electrovibe Faceplate LED Bezels

My build process goes in phases (usually), especially when it comes to enclosures, which is what I've been focused on lately - I usually work on drilling/finishing 3-4 cases at a time. The Electrovibe is in this batch - I started drilling, then saw the LED holes in the faceplate. I haven't...
