Even when I have it out of an enclosure and there is a very clear air gap there is no change. That was the first thing I thought too— maybe something was poking thru the tape I’m going to take these pots off— maybe I missed something underneath one

Yes. I don’t have the plastic caps so I have a couple layers of kapton tape to prevent the pots from shorting anything out

I'm adding some board shots before I go back to take another look at everything

Thanks. I checked and I am getting 4V vref. Not seeing anything shorted or bridged… going to check all the capacitors to make sure none are short.

I put a Pastel Preamp together, and it seems to generally work. The Pre control works and I think sounds like it should, but the Master volume control has virtually no effect whatsoever and Tilt has *some* effect but it is extremely subtle. This makes me think there is something wrong, and I...
