About to drill my first enclosure...anything I should know?

Give me bezels or give me death... But seriously, I do love that trick! This is all great! I plan on doing some coats of clear before I apply the waterslide decal. Any suggestions on clear for the ones that are already powercoated and primer for the ones that aren't?

About to drill my first enclosure...anything I should know?

All the pieces are here. My WEN 4208 drill press, the drill press vise, the step bits, the non step bits, auto-punch...going to do a test 1590B before I do a customer's 1590BB. Share your wisdom/warnings please!

    The Ethics of Selling Clones

I know K Pedals sells a lot of stuff on Reverb. I'd love to hear their opinion on this.

Am I the only loser who keeps trying to time orders with the coupon codes?

Agreed! The more I explore this hobby the more I appreciate the work of Mr. PedalPCB.

    Rad as hell.

    Aion Hydra (Naga Viper)

It is indeed. I have the board but I haven't populated it yet. They both call for the same components except for the Hydra's 100uF power supply filter cap.

Barber Small Fry & Vertex Dynamic Drive

Sorry to combine these two, but I’m trying to kill two birds with one stone on this one. 1. I have a Barber Small Fry which I love the sound of, but would like to lower the noise floor on without changing the basic sound. It’s particularly noisy in the studio. 2. The Vertex Dynamic Drive is...

    Re-Housing a Boss SD-1

Rock and roll! I had one in high school that didn't really blow my hair back. Last year I saw a rig rundown for Drive by Truckers and both Hood and Cooley had one on their boards, so naturally now I kind of want one, but I'd want to mod it too haha.

    Re-Housing a Boss SD-1

I would try to steer him in a different direction but he had it modded at a local shop just before the pandemic and is really happy with the sound. Just doesn't dig the box.

Apparently it's possible. I'll save you the pop-up ads of the gear page.

    Re-Housing a Boss SD-1

I've been asked to re-house a Boss SD-1 into a 125B for a customer and I'm up for the challenge. I'm wondering if I can use one of the Tayda pre-drilled PedalPCB 3-knob enclosures. I imagine I'd have to de-solder the pots and LED, and run wires to the PCB to make that work? Not to mention the...

Spirit Box + infinite Dwell footswitch w/vid

My next build is putting a Spirit Box and Seabed Delay in a 1590XX with an order switch. Do you find the volume loss mod is necessary on all Spirit Box builds or just in your case? EDIT: Also, beautiful build! Sounds gorgeous, and that infinite dwell is such a rad idea. Gave me major Twin...

    Digital Corksniffery (Warning: Controversial)

Whoa...PedalPCB must be reading my mind because I've wanted a Zero Point for a long time now, and had resigned myself to living with the lack of controls. This is so awesome.

HM2 / Promethium distortion mod - bypass distortion?

For the prices he’s asking I’d expect a little more visual flair to the enclosures. They’re kind of uninspired if you ask me. There’s a video of him at 2017 summer NAMM showing off a bunch of his pedals, but no actual playing, and it’s like, uh, you do want to sell those right? Might not hurt...

My first Vero Amptweaker Tight Metal in a 1590b

I've never tried Vero before; not sure where to start, but I think that would be a great circuit to start with. Any suggestions? James Brown, the designer and head of AmpTweaker is the nicest guy, and brilliant too. He designed the original 5150 for Peavey, as well as the Rage 158 practice amp.
