    Green Sreamer

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. It works like a clipping diode similar to a 1N4148 but with a higher forward voltage, which changes how the signal clips. Lots of pedals use LEDs for clipping RAT circuits, the JHS Morning Glory and one of my favorites the Keeley Electronics Seeing Eye mod...

    Green Sreamer

The Tubescreamer is bit different than the Timmy. TS has a mid eq hump where the Timmy is a "transparent" overdrive. Also, socket things like the diodes, try some LED, LED and 4148, bat41 or even just 1 diode.

    Sproing Deluxe… done.

I dig these for smaller LEDs https://lovemyswitches.com/pre-wired-led-with-bezel-hump-style-red-led/ https://www.taydaelectronics.com/3mm-led-holder-metal-chrome.html Also, bought a bunch of these I want to try as well for something more subtle...

Help with getting into home recording - what do I need?

I second the 57, it can cover so much territory. Tom Petty and a bunch of others have used it on vocals as well. The 609 are cool as well, not as versatile as the 57. On acoustic I can get a Neutral Milk Hotel sound instantly.

Help with getting into home recording - what do I need?

MOTU makes some great stuff. One feature I like on some interfaces is the ability to mix direct and playback. I use it for bass and tracking someone's vocals. Guitar I just have one headphone off to hear it directly.

    Spaghetti Western tremolo/reverb?

Interesting on the spirit box. Need to revisit mine, if I recall I do need to make a mod, the swell isn't as swelly as I would like As for the Commit Mirage, love the idea but tubes scare me a bit. Need to get over that though.

    Spaghetti Western tremolo/reverb?

Hello! A friend asked me to help track down some sounds for an upcoming record. He plays lap steel and is chasing those classic “spaghetti western” vibes. I’m pretty well covered on the drive side but I’m coming up short on reverbs and tremolos that really fit the aesthetic. I’ve already...

Help with getting into home recording - what do I need?

I love my SSL 2+, sounds great and like the form factor. The 2i2 is good as well. I’m never recording more than 2 tracks at a time. Guitar, bass and vocals at home. If I’m doing live drums, it’s at a studio. Mac or PC? As we all know, Mac is superior in every possible way and has logic...

    Parts Storage Solutions

I have that exact one, yes. Got it on Amazon for like $15. It is good, decent plastic but can't imagine it seeing too much abuse unless I loose my cool trouble shooting and throw it across the room. Behind the solder reel I have snips, needlenose and wire striper. In the round ones I have solder...

    Pendulum Tremolo

It sounds great, just less than volume wise in my head. That said, may check on the other half, I honestly haven't seen if both sides are working, put it in an enclosure before testing since there is the LDR.
