https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/505-MKS2B041001C00KS There's about 1800 still at Mouser. I don't see that it's EOL. Maybe I should buy some more......

    Help measuring SMD JFETS

What were you thinking of doing?

Flat Boost? How about a wide Q mid boost? Like the Demeter Fat boost?

    Help measuring SMD JFETS

@comradehoser Check this out. I cut a small piece of an A2 bar magnet then stuck an SMD adapter on with some double sided tape. Yes, the jfets are fiddly about the magnetic field but I can find the sweet spot on the magnet by putting the jfet on the adapter then sliding the adapter around...

    Sheepy love/GOTA OD-1

I should be able to tell you in a couple of days. My current OD-1 is built off the Aion Corona and I'm running 1S1588's in it as well as the quad opamp. @Guardians of the analog sent me one of these new SheepyLove boards and it should be here in the next day or so.

    Help measuring SMD JFETS

I never tried it with my TC7 (TC1 in disguise). I've been using my Peak Atlas. So here's a couple of choices that will make it work easier. RullyWow's free Jfet matcher board. If I still had any I'd send you one. But it's only $7 for 3 at OshPark. https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/tG4sSkqf...

    Help measuring SMD JFETS

One thing I learned just today, SMD jfets are magnetic. If you do as @pettert suggests and built a jig on some acrylic sheeting you can hold the jfet in place with a magnet under it. *Note, I have not verified this so YMMV. But someone on this forum has designed some PCB's of a Keen SMD tester...

    Guyatone PS-021 (AionFX Meridian)

Ok, here we go again......on another roll with compressors! I'm also waiting for @Robert to get the Uber-Squeezer boards in. (Actually I don't think thats what it's called but its the PPCB of the MXR SuperComp:)) The Aion Meridian is another compressor that I never got around to building...

    The Creamery Compressor (DOD MilkBox)

Typo, sorry... here you go these.

    The Creamery Compressor (DOD MilkBox)

I used the TI RC4558’s (as opposed to the JRC4558’s). They sound good to me. Having said that it might not be a bad idea to try some lower noise opamps. My new favorite is the OPA1678’s. (From Mouser) Unfortunately, they are SMD only. They spec about the same OPA2134’s but they’re only .54/ea...

    The Creamery Compressor (DOD MilkBox)

Some of you know that have a penchant for building overdrives and a close second would be compressors. I think I've built just about every DIY compressor I can get my hands on. The Creamery is one that I've wanted to build for a long time but it was out of stock and @Robert was in no hurry to...

    DEMO Ragin' Cajun-sheepylove/GotA joint production

Sorry, mine got built as well. Re: @szukalski comment about the pots pads being the wrong place requiring off board wiring, he's mentioned a few times about possibly doing a re-layout of this board. Or maybe someone else wants to take a crack at it. (@Audandash :) (Can anyone tell who is...

Sound samples for bassdude and particle accelerator?

The Particle Accelerator stays clean throughout the gain range, it doesn't break up much. The Bassdude breaks up beautifully at about 9, 10 o'clock on the gain knob. The Bassdude sounds like it will fit your needs better.

    The MOD Squad

@Tassieviking On the BassDude=> JTM45 mod, would you recommend a fresh build or it's not a big deal to mod an existing build?
  19. MichaelW

    The MOD Squad

Ooooooooo, I like the idea of turning the Bassdude into a JTM45!

    NGD! Sorta...

Great work on that nut! I cut a new nut for my 12 string as well couple years ago. Last time EVER lol!. Just an observation, those deep slots on the G, B, and E strings might give you some wolf notes. I like to leave the slots just at the top of the string on plain strings.
