Ok. My power source (battery for right this second) is 8.68vdc. From pin 8 to pin 4 on the op amp (+ and ground) is 8.39vdc. Pin 1 to ground is 4.8vdc. Pin 2 to ground is 4.42vdc. Pin 3 to ground is 4.05vdc. Pin 5 to ground is 4.17vdc. Pin 6 to ground is 4.175vdc. Pin 7 to ground is 3.93vdc.

Thanks for your input. I know how to use a multi meter. It's the op amp I'm unsure of.

Help me out on this. I'm not sure where to place my meter leads to answer that. Sorry, still learning.

I reflowed almost all the solder points and replaced the drive pot. No change.

I'll post a pic of the solder side in a bit. But please keep in mind, toggle switch works fine. Everything works fine except the drive pot.

I got this thing all together, the only thing not working is the drive pot. With it turned all the way down, everything else works as expected. When you turn up the drive even a little, all sound is lost. All three lugs of the pot ohm out correctly, it is a linear 100k pot. Can a pot be bad...

The switch pads look good from what I can see. The only thing that looks a little questionable is the positive and negative power leads, they may be touching and short circuit. You could try trimming them back a little.

Sorry about taking so long to reply, been a bit busy. Maybe you figured it out by now, but if not, which switch did you change out?

You may want to double check between the switches and the pcb. It's very easy to have something touching the switch housing that could cause a short. Just something worth checking, may be totally something else too, but that's something I've had happen with the same pedal. Once you get it...

https://photos.app.goo.gl/cN8HF977V6ed6pSr9 LBP was a perfect solution to keep the same sound just a little louder. I did not have a 2n5088, so I used a 2n5089, and a 200R in place of the 390R, seems to be working fine. Also waiting for some trim pots to arrive, but the full size pot works too...

Thanks Chuck. I have almost everything to build that, but I'm trying to wait for Tayda to get more 125b's in stock before I place my next order. But there seems to be a world wide shortage on those right now, so the 390R may be some parallel or series resistors, depending on what values I have...
