Thanks Locrian! So if I understand what you are saying the +V above can be the same place on the breadboard where the dc comes in and goes to +V (Pin 4) and the rest of the power supply? I'm assuming the +V is still filtered by the rest of the power circuit? I never would have thought about...
So I've always wanted an OD-1 pedal and thought I'd start with it as my first build. Rather than buy a PCB first and install by numbers I thought I'd try a couple different schematics on a Breadboard and see which I like best before I build it... it should also allow me to actually understand...
My DMM doesn't test for capacitance or transistors... Should I look for another one that does or get a different tool that will test for these and ICs? Or is it not important at all at this stage?
I just did the beavis audio version of this that is slightly different and it worked great for my first breadboard pedal. I was happy to have then found this thread so I can do some of your mods. Cool stuff! Mine sounded great in front of my 2204 but I changed the C1 to a lower capacitance to...
They made good today :)
I got an email this morning that they were sorry and they shipped the missing items. I'm really impressed with the company so far. They took a lot longer to reply and reship than any other company I've worked with but I'm still impressed with them.
PedalPCB forum...
I searched and didn't find it... has there or will there ever be a Satchel Butthole Burner on the Workbench? I'm hearing good stuff about this pedal for my 80s hard rockin love.
that might be the difference. I bought in bulk with Tayda and should have used Mouser maybe... but hopefully in the future I'll be buying a lot less and per pedal. So I'll just have to average it out and see how much the savings will be. I'm sure Tayda will get a small order correct.
Well Tayda has not sorted this out for me yet. I was very impressed with their quick shipping and their packaging but they left off several items that I need. They got back with me two days later asking me if I checked everything well. I replied back the same day saying I did and they are...
You are definitely getting your money's worth out of that rental. Perfect timing on weather and population. When I retire, the wife and I want to chase 50 degree nights and 70-75 degree day temps across the country. That is the perfect weather IMO.
