    Best projects for doom metal?

Went over my head! Doom is the main metal I’m into and I’m a little intimidated by how little I know about other types so I figured I could be wrong lol

    Bring out yer Diptrace

This is why my bypass boards say IJ and OJ. Orenthal association might be worse though

    Bring out yer Diptrace

One for Culture Jam's Duo-Vibe (https://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=23669.0) that I banged out at work today. Stole the wave control from effectslayouts' pcb. Made the response switch a pot for little reason other than I hate asymmetric controls and wanted to still use a 4 knob...

    What's on the workbench?

You’re missing out on the fun of seeing that most of the current draw on a fuzz is the indicator LED and then stubbing your toe against it a year later when it’s underneath your bench

    Is sleep not considered doom?

    Best projects for doom metal?

Haven’t heard of many doomers playing mesas. Dual and triple rectifiers were my grail amps in my teens, probably pissed off a lot of guitar center employees running to try them out. Hearing this is making me feel less ashamed for not being into oranges then

Moonn has a PCB for the Stoner Bee if I’m remembering right

Forum Feature Request: Easy Linking to PPCB Products

Not sure how feasible this is or how useful others would find it, but I would love a way to quickly insert links to products into posts on here. When replying to recommendation threads I'll usually end up with half a dozen tabs open. Something like another button on the post toolbar or a submenu...

    Best projects for doom metal?

This recommendation is hard to beat. You've also got a lot of this base covered by the Life pedal, but it's still a super fun combination. Separating out the Octave section (PedalPCB Squidward) to run it into other dirts is also really fun. Squidward into a boost into an amp's dirt channel can...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Love the hybrid NPN footprint, I’m starting to accumulate enough to start doing that on my boards

    DEMO Kewpie Fuzz

Awesome build, graphics, and demo! I'm obsessed with my build and once I figure out how I'm going to label the toggles (If URA is "Bass", it's active DOWN, unlike DOPING and 1979, so kind of a monkey wrench for me) for enclosure art I have a bunch of boards on deck to pass out builds coworkers...

I'm expecting to a "compare to" credit for this one :sneaky:

Love this addition. Gives me some added motivation to be posting more build reports!

    Which Knipex Super-Knips?

IMO go with the lead catching Knipex and if you find that using them is slowing you down grab the Tsunodas. I broke my first pair of Knipex trying to do a few leads at once when I was frustrated, which was dumb on my part, but it seems like other people have an easier time finessing them on a...

Ideas For (Needlessly) Adding To One-Knob Fuzz?

No problem! The one knob fuzz is such a fun starting point. Couldn't find my build this morning but in all honesty I don't really recommend the R3 mod it unless you're absolutely dying for another knob.

    Which Knipex Super-Knips?

The other difference between models not mentioned yet is the maximum cutting diameter. Some max out at 0.6mm, others 1.2mm and 1.6mm. They’re nice products but the lead catching ones can be difficult to maneuver if you’re cutting a whole row of resistors. Harbor Freight also started selling...

Ideas For (Needlessly) Adding To One-Knob Fuzz?

I’ll try to find the build I did that to jog my memory tomorrow. It can definitely make the fuzz “sharper” for lack of a better word. I would keep a resistor in series with the pot just so you don’t have a dead side of the knob sweep. If you can rig up an internal trimpot instead of the series...

Some way to rig up 12v AC?

Ooph thats a heavy requirement. Aviation connector is where my mind went as well, we use them in some tattoo power supply stuff where they carry 3A (whether rated for it or not, now that I think of it)

Some way to rig up 12v AC?

This isn’t really an answer but if you can get the voltage you need with a dc->dc power module that’s the move IMO. There’s tons out there and they’re not too expensive. I’ve used some +/-15V ones before for big ass split rails. Even with a different size or colored barrel connector, someone...

Ideas For (Needlessly) Adding To One-Knob Fuzz?

Going off that schematic: - I’ve replaced R3 with a 2K pot before. The entire sweep isn’t usable but it does add some interesting (and some bad) sounds. There is some disagreement on some forums about what the exact value of R3 is on the original inspiration for the one knob fuzz (name escapes...
