    Castellated holes on Eagle

Yeah, extra fee for the castellated holes is usualy high. I needed castellated holes on the outside edge of the pcb. Below is my workaround - a hole on a protruding piece of "temporary wing" from the laminate. I scored the hole with an xacto blade (both sides) and then removed the excess with...

This Week on the Breadboard: OKKO Diablo v3

1..2..3.. breadboard time. It works, reacts to knobs.. all good. A bit late for normal playing so more testing tomorrow.

This Week on the Breadboard: OKKO Diablo v3

It probably won't be easy to find one, especially in the case of MMBFJ201. I expect that with such a high Idss Vp will be around 1V. I don't think I've come across such a piece in smd.

    Zeugma (Zonk Machine MKI)

Lovely! :) Question about these threaded inserts - what are they? Self clinching rivet nuts?

Question for those who test PCBs before deciding to box them

Most of my projects don't have switches so I mount the potentiometers by eye (using a caliper or ruler to set the height above the pcb). If I have to - I use a piece of hdf (3mm thick) with holes for potentiometers and switches.

Question for those who test PCBs before deciding to box them

I first make sure everything works, test the circuit, play it a bit, and only then drill or make the enclosure. I have a lot of projects that ended at the pcb stage because for some reason I changed my mind. It's a shame to waste the enclosure :)

    HK Rotosphere. Build in progres...

Your calculations are perfect :) I think drgonzo1969 has a great solution below - no expensive shipping and possible tax/customs. @drgonzo1969 - seems to be the same layout file. There's also parts list in message by ssmc from 04 Jul 2011.

    HK Rotosphere. Build in progres...

Well, it's quite a challenge, but so far it looks promising :) I ordered the PCB from JLCPCB. By the way - the black board looks great, but cleaning the flux residue is a nightmare. There are always some stains and streaks left. ;)

    HK Rotosphere. Build in progres...

1..2..3.. let's go First of all - its big, it's dangerous (almost 300V to power the tube) and rather expensive to build (compared to regular pedals). 1. Project, schematic, etc. It's all available from freestompboxes. Schematic (four separate pieces) and pcb layout (Sprint Layout format). 2...

    TL072 vs "TL072"

Thanks for the info. Next time I might try Polida (although I've read various opinions about this store, but fortunately you don't have to spend a fortune.. sometimes it's worth taking a risk). It seems that when buying from China you can buy working MN3207/3102. But it's probably much worse...

    TL072 vs "TL072"

Bump... Just recieved 5 pairs of MN3102/MN3207 from Aliexpress. Two MN3207 are dead. Rest of the ICs seems to be OK. But.. Here's the picture of a pair. MN3207 is clearly after cosmetic work... sanded top surface and laser-etched letters. MN3102 are from desoldering, some legs are bent. But...

Matched JFETS for Phase 90 - what numbers am I actually looking for ?

That's right. Considering that Vp for 5457 will probably be around 1.3-1.7V I would try to aim for differences no greater than 0.05V. But you'll see for yourself what you find in 100pcs :)

Matched JFETS for Phase 90 - what numbers am I actually looking for ?

I'd take MMBF5457 and measure Vp - take four pieces with (almost) the same Vp value. Almost = with spread as low as 0.1V or even less. 0.05.. 0.01.. Exact Vp value is less important. Focus on the spread of the Vp.
