Then going forwards R13,14,15,16, 17 have no sound on them no matter which way the switch is oriented. I have sound on R27 no matter which way the switches are oriented. I have...

ok, done that. Now its a little more like really loud white noise than a squeal, but still there. Components were all tested other than the IC's. I don't know how to test them. I can try swapping them out?

Ok I'll give it a go. I've actually never done them below the PCB before, don't know why I decided to do that, just thought it would be neat.

Just finished another build and I have plugged it in to see how it goes and it's not good! Chauffeur passes sound when not on but high pitched squeal when on. I've never experienced this before. I love some input on how to trouble shoot this one.

Ok, switches have continuity so they aren't the problem, when I get a bit of time I will learn how to use the audio probe properly. Hopefully over the weekend

I believe I have figured it out, I have been trialling all the lugs and different jacks etc with alligator clips to save heaps of soldering. If I have the switching jack in the circuit and I plug into the input on the right and the output on the far left, which is the other sides output, the...

I think this is beyond me, i cant seem to get it working. The layout diagram shows one switched jack on the right hand side, ive tried the both of the mystery lugs and the effect functions but only the side that is plugged into still.

Great info. Yes, the resistor just didn't want to come out! What happens if the Trace is broken? Does that mean I just live with the switch not working?

SO connect the tip and ground as usual then run a jumper from one of the two mystery lugs to the tip of the next jack? Is that right?

yep, two go to the sleeve, one goes to tip, what do the other two do and which one do i need to jumper to the other jack in the enclosure?

Ok, resistor replaced, phaser now phases and sounds how it should, I'm happy with that. However, when flicking the stage switch to the left, there is no sound at all. Works to the right, doesn't do anything to the left.
