Wah Inductors. No hype. Just measurements.

Radical, you're the man Stickman. Any chance I can commission an inductor from you? Several people that you gave them to say they are excellent.

Designing CLN to Mid Gain Preamp (Bass)

Exactly, keep the drive tight and keep the bottem end clear.

Designing CLN to Mid Gain Preamp (Bass)

I would actually setup the crossover to control where the drive comes in on the frequency band. One of my favorite bass drives has a crossover that shifts from 50Hz to 1kHz. Everything below that split is clean and everything above is overdriven. If you want to take it a step further you can...

Designing CLN to Mid Gain Preamp (Bass)

My first question, does this have a clean blend or a controllable crossover? My second is have you looked at Aion's schematic for the Empyrean bass drive from Aion? It is a clone of the Darkglass Alpha|Omicron/Omega drive. While it is a distortion it uses opamps to produce the drive. You can...

Wah Inductors. No hype. Just measurements.

I took the time trace my Ernie Ball Wah, so here it is for anyone who wants to mod it. As a warning I may have mixed up the 1K resistor with one of the 10K resistors when I was pulling components. EDIT1: R11 is 1K and R30 is 10K. EDIT2: Fixed the schematic. EDIT3: Better schematic.

Wah Inductors. No hype. Just measurements.

@Stickman393 Any recommendations for an inductor that will fit? I am using this on bass so I am modding it in general to bring the range down so that resistor pull is a good starting point.

Wah Inductors. No hype. Just measurements.

Any chance you would want to look at an Ernie Ball Wah? The furthest I've gotten with mine is that it uses a J201 input buffer and three 2N5089 NPN in the signal. The inductor looks to be sealed in a can so I have no idea what style it is, however it says 420 on the top so I'm assuming that's...

    Maximum Modded Cepheid Chorus

@maertz13 While that is true, Walrus Audio changed the blend portion just enough I would have to offboard wire it. They use B10k vs Boss's C250k and I would need to jumper 2 resistors, I may as well use the Cepheid board I bought. I appreciate the consideration.

    Orange 4Stroke Preamp

Any plans to sell some boards? I'd be done to buy one. Does the pad allow you to plug into a power amp directly?

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

@tegendemuur Exactly as Alan W said, measure the pertinent parts and go shopping, from experience a lot of equipment tend to come out to FMC specs for some reason. You can use a ruler instead of calipers if you have good eye and steady hand.

    Maximum Modded Cepheid Chorus

That was a port over from the CH-1, I could replace it with an LM741 or a TL071. I could also build another de-emphasis stage and take my dry out from just before C6 instead of just after the input buffer.

    Maximum Modded Cepheid Chorus

Bump. Can anyone help verify please?

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

@tegendemuur If you can get me a better picture of your roller wheel assembly, I can tell you what will be compatible. I had to do this for an SWR 4x10 bass cab a while back.

Fun with CMOS - part 1 - The CMOS Raincoat

What is your opinion on what Darkglass did with the B3K using the CD4049UBE @Chuck D. Bones? It is such a unique drive flavor among a bunch of different bass ODs that it's an instant stand out favorite of mine.

    Maximum Modded Cepheid Chorus

Part of my Celsius + Cepheid combo build, looking to get some feedback before I reach the point of no return. I essentially ported over the dry out function and the EQ section from the CH1 because I liked what the EQ pot does. The Buffer Inverter is the PPCB board.

    GOTA/SCHUTONE DRIP Chorus (Boss CH-1)

Such an awesome chorus, I actually have one next to me right now. Does this have a stereo out option like the original?

    What's on the workbench?

I actually had a chance to somewhat trace the Fortin Blade from an old bandmate, couldn't pull any components though. It is yet another TC Electronics Integrated Preamp that's been modded, I had actually used your clone board to make some approximations. I'll have dig one of them out to see...

    Master Volume Celsius Mod

The trace is easy and out of the way, haven't built the board yet. I haven't had any builds that needed the TC1044SCPA, but spent a pretty penny on several LT1054's when they were $2.50 USD.

    Master Volume Celsius Mod

Sounds like some worthwhile mods. Another one I'm doing is using LT1054 instead of TC1044SCPA since I don't have any. Do I cut the trace between pins 1 and 8, or will the LT1054 be just fine with the frequency boost hooked up in this circuit?
