I took the time trace my Ernie Ball Wah, so here it is for anyone who wants to mod it. As a warning I may have mixed up the 1K resistor with one of the 10K resistors when I was pulling components. EDIT1: R11 is 1K and R30 is 10K. EDIT2: Fixed the schematic. EDIT3: Better schematic.

Any chance you would want to look at an Ernie Ball Wah? The furthest I've gotten with mine is that it uses a J201 input buffer and three 2N5089 NPN in the signal. The inductor looks to be sealed in a can so I have no idea what style it is, however it says 420 on the top so I'm assuming that's...

@maertz13 While that is true, Walrus Audio changed the blend portion just enough I would have to offboard wire it. They use B10k vs Boss's C250k and I would need to jumper 2 resistors, I may as well use the Cepheid board I bought. I appreciate the consideration.

@tegendemuur Exactly as Alan W said, measure the pertinent parts and go shopping, from experience a lot of equipment tend to come out to FMC specs for some reason. You can use a ruler instead of calipers if you have good eye and steady hand.

That was a port over from the CH-1, I could replace it with an LM741 or a TL071. I could also build another de-emphasis stage and take my dry out from just before C6 instead of just after the input buffer.

What is your opinion on what Darkglass did with the B3K using the CD4049UBE @Chuck D. Bones? It is such a unique drive flavor among a bunch of different bass ODs that it's an instant stand out favorite of mine.

The trace is easy and out of the way, haven't built the board yet. I haven't had any builds that needed the TC1044SCPA, but spent a pretty penny on several LT1054's when they were $2.50 USD.

Sounds like some worthwhile mods. Another one I'm doing is using LT1054 instead of TC1044SCPA since I don't have any. Do I cut the trace between pins 1 and 8, or will the LT1054 be just fine with the frequency boost hooked up in this circuit?
