I want to build the Mini, but it's not in stock. The Clean appears to me (verified moron) to be the same board with some different values. Could I buy the clean and use the build guide from the mini?

I am going to build it tonight. I don't have the Zener Diode on hand. I assume that is just a protection diode? Could I use a 4001, or just jump it if I'm not worried about it getting above 9v power? Also, I find the volume on Klonish circuit to come on very fast with the B10k volume pot...

Thanks to all that replied. The pedal is a lot of fun, very cool sounding ambiance. The FV-1 was challenging, but I think I learned enough to not be scared of these in the future. I did have to use my desoldering iron a few times to clean up some solder bridges.
