Pretty sure GE made most if not all CBS tubes but I love the first 3 generations of the long plate GE’s.

I don’t have an EL84 amp at the moment unfortunately! Plan on that being my next BIG purchase. I would probably look into the Soviet 6P14P. I believe that’s what Dr. Z recommends and uses and don’t think they’re very expensive.

I used a MP38A with hfe of 60 and low leakage. It’s all I had. Funny thing is I think it sounds killer on Strat but not so much on a LP. I probably just need to spend more time with it on a LP though as 90% of the time I’m playing a Strat and I’m just a Strat. Chuck you have me wanting to order...
