Trying to upload a gerber to jlc and I’m doing the same thing i always do and the text for this faceplate isnt showing up. My other faceplates are all loading fine and showing. Only thing i can think of is im using a different font, could that cause this? The outline which is the same...

That is quite possibly the most confusing true bypass set up I've ever seen. I typically attach pins 1 and 8 aswell but that makes so much more sense than that one you posted.

lacked a tone control. For the particular project I am working on needed a tone control.

Oh and a 10k for the resistor in series. Didnt take much altering or my pcb layout either. Tried a muff control but 100% would need a gain recovery stage and not sure i Liked it better anyways.

I ended up going with mark hammers stupidly wonderful tone control. Sounds good just used a 100k pot with the 2n2.

Yea there is the floating leg thing. I just thought it was weird he swapped where the two legs were going I guess. I might be misreading the schem as well but it looks to me like he's got which leg is going to ground swapped around as well. But I hate it when they don't really mark a leg...

Its interesting the article shows the scheme different than the layout posted for the tone pot. States .0022uf and the strip board shows a 22n instead of 2n2. Also it shows legs 2/3 attached to to the 22n when the schem only shows on leg attached to the 22n the other two attached to ground…

It ended up getting kinda shelved. I planned on making a pcb i could mount the power amp module to clean it up a bit and never did. Theres another thread where he talks about some component changes to the tone job to get it more in line with a line level output to the power amp.

Ended up running 470k+2m2 in series. What i had for 1/8 w values. Does sound quite nice.

Yea i can do that, pretty sure i even have some 1/8th watt ones in those values. Just hate doing it.
