My 2024 favorites were the Dung Beetle, Low Tide Mini, Chop Shop, 6-Band Eq, FunBox. Any of these could easily be in my list this year, but many of them drifted off my board or didn't see as much use this year. We'll see if some make their way back. I think I built around 35 pedals this year...

No, it means that they are connected. It's typical on PCB diagrams that ground is treated specially and not actually labeled, because a bunch of components will go to ground. If you have the circuit schematic you'll probably see these components, including the resistor, connected to ground...
