Sorry for the confusion, I’m not mixing ppcb and AION boards, I was just pointing out the differences, specifically that the AION footswitch board contains the power supply circuit. With the PPCB breakout board, where does the LED get power from? Do I jumper from the main board?

Thanks for the tips. So far, I’ve only built AION kits and the footswitch board has a lot more going on, including +v. Am I correct in assuming that is for the power supply circuit and the footswitch doesn’t require +v ?

I’m almost embarrassed to ask, but in the very first illustration, why are the pins numbered 5/6/7 when the text is describing pins 1 and 2? I read part 1, but this is still confusing for me. Thank you for creating these instructional threads for beginners!

Not a kilt, but I recently ordered AION’s take on the Expandora - Dynamo. I ordered just the PCB and will put it together after I do my next order of components. I think the design sounds interesting.

It seems like a couple of factors were involved. I was opening the svg file from Inkscape directly in Affinity Designer and the text to paths didn't seem to translate. I exported the file instead as a "plain svg" and when opened in Affinity Designer, the text was no longer editable, so that's...
