    Delegate (Warden) Upgrades

I'm more interested in the envelope detector part of the circuit, actually. I'm trying a discrete jfet approach for the gain stage. Let's see how it works out

    Delegate (Warden) Upgrades

Just did what you said and it passes the test, thanks a lot!! I'll finish laying it on the breadboard and listen to how it sounds

    Delegate (Warden) Upgrades

@Chuck D. Bones, I've started breadboarding something similar to this one and I plan to use some NSL-32 I've got. Since I'm changing the photocell/led pair, I'm expecting that I might have to change some caps and resistors to make it work. Is C10 in the store schematic the main suspect?

TUTORIAL Making a low profile magnetic stomp switch that should last forever

Realistically, I will probably never build any of this, but I love where this is going

    OTAs

    Nice, thanks!

    OTAs

Great, thanks! I'll have something in the breadboard later today. What exactly are you calling a cold bias?

    OTAs

Ressurecting this since my breadboard is empty after a long period, even though my question is not entirely related to OTAs. Is there a discrete approach that could give me a result similar to this 2nd harmonic behavior? I'm guessing it would be a really bare bones OTA of some kind

Engineer Thumb: is it normal behavior?

Just played with it again. RF makes for most of the noise and breathing did not even bother me all that much (now that I know it happens). I'm boxing this one up

Engineer Thumb: is it normal behavior?

I'll see what I'm able to do without destroying the board, might even try a switch or a potentiometer there. And I can live with some breathing, specially if I manage to reduce it a bit

Engineer Thumb: is it normal behavior?

I'm guessing, it's mostly hum and RF, but to be honest, after I heard my bandmate's CS3, I'm not that worried about the noise floor (my ET is probably less noisier even outside the box). I might tinker a bit with the release time (built with the suggested 470k), though, to see if I can tame the...

+/-6V power - check my circuit!

Just got a couple of those modules to try! I've been looking for a good solution to give me ±15V for a while

    Orange Squeezer

Small update: I had originally used 2n3819 fets (selected for vp in the 2V vicinity) and it wasn't compressing as much as I would want, so I've decided to try different fets and rebias. Now with 2sk246 it compresses nicely and the "Limit" pot is useful in the full pot rotation.

I still have to figure out how much detail I can manage with this kind of technique, but I like the results. And the process itself is very fun, mixing different inks, carving the linoleum. Feels like the ultimate diy experience

    Orange Squeezer

Thanks! I'm happy with it! Just wished the labels were a bit more clear. My linoleum has two textures: one side is smoother than the other, and I did the artwork on the rougher one
