    Chop Shop (stamped enclosure)

Thanks, that's what I do with 3mm LEDs, but your picture fooled me into thinking it was a flush lens, it looks much nicer with 5mm, I'll have to try that.

I really like that led bezel/lens, are you willing to share where you got it? It just looks so clean and appears to sit flush or close enough.

NSFW Muffinator and NSFM(usic) EAE Beholder

I used 1N34A's for the D6-8, but you can use any diode you like. The spot is meant for a germanium diode, but if you don't have any or want to pay inflated prices or wait for one from Eastern Europe, a schottky diode like a BAT41 will make a reasonable substitute. The muff circuit has two...

    FUZZ

I've also had success with GT404B, MP16B, and most recently an AC128k in Q1 that was too leaky for a previous project but works great in the Sputnik. I'm scared of how many boards will be added to the drawer of to-be-built fuzzes if I watch the video.

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Thanks! It's a jfet preamp into a Si FF output stage using low gain soviet transistors with a foot-switchable dirty boost in front. Toggles are for the coupling cap into the FF stage and a low pass on the output. Waiting on enclosures to arrive from Tayda them I'm going to send some out to a...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Still not a masterpiece, but it's getting less chaotic, great inspiration on this thread, and of course from the master @Robert

    Naegele Polaris Fuzz(Spaceman Sputnik II)

This is my second build of the Sputnik II, the first was the DEFX Laika Fuzz V2, which was one of my favorite fuzzes, but in a visually displeasing horizontal 1590BB layout with all the knobs straight across the top. So, I saw @PedalBuilder 's post of his Polaris Fuzz and ordered a board from...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

All I have left are the actual PCBs. I was in the habit of overwriting the layouts when I updated them. I'm saving independent versions now so I can look back at what I did. But yes, it was very much not a scientific test, lots of variables.

    Bring out yer Diptrace

My newb 2 cents is that I had two versions of a board made recently, one with the best I could do, but still not optimally placed 9V routed trace with ground pours on both sides, and another with a 9V pour on the component side and ground pour on the reverse and then nicer/shorter routing for...

    Ferrite Beads & Noise Suppression

I've used them in DEFX Spaceman projects, all of which are pretty low noise, but I can't say how much the ferrite beads are contributing. I never thought to check Tayda, just got a roll from a seller on ebay like these, probably the same thing at Tayda. Edit just found these at digikey for 18...

    Selling Pedals

I've sold a few on reverb, pretty much just parts cost plus $10 or so. I don't think the fees are too bad and it's fairly easy. I use pirateship.com rather than shipping through reverb. Once the pedal is boxed up I take the measurements and weight, grab a random address somewhere on the west...

Ah, poor Polyend Press (a Chase Bliss Clean thread)

Briefly looking at both, if I had to choose one I would pick the Press. Cool bar of LEDs, no stupid dip switches.

    Mojo parts N.E.W. npn buzzaround

I think Sprague/Vishay TVA series 50V axial electrolytics should fit in c5/6/7. I've used them as filters for the low voltage bias supply in amps and remember them being decently priced. For the smaller caps if you want all the mojo you probably have to go with tropical fish, but the prices are...

This Week on the Breadboard: Animals Diamond Peak Overdrive (with some mods, of course)

Great looking circuit, would you be willing to explain the function of C6?

    Electro-acoustic string (drone) instruments recommendations.

Find a cheap cello locally and put a piezo bridge pickup on there, use an asian inspired open tuning for sweet drones, good to go.

    Stiff pots?

+1, I use F5 for conductive plastic pots, mostly in newer hifi stuff, and D5 for everything else. Guitar pots are usually carbon so D5 is the way to go, it's expensive, but a can lasts a pretty long time. My current can has made it through five 1960's hifi stereo rebuilds plus general household...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Well, it's still a horrible rat's nest, but I don't think I'm capable of doing any better at this point so I sent it off the JLC for 5 boards to see just how noisy it is, and if it even works. With all the coupons it's a pretty cheap experiment.

    1590XX VFE Klein Bottle V3.2

OK I uploaded it to dropbox and updated the link in the first post, I think it should work now, let me know. I guess I've become old, can't link a simple file download.
