Yeah, I only use pot condoms on the pots that will be touching the board. The ones that hang off the board, those don't get condoms and are free to raw dog it.

@Joaquín V I'm not sure how shipping works in Portugal, but do you have to pay duty/custom fees? If so, have you done that already? I know for countries in Europe, that customs will hold your packages until those fees are paid.

Yeah all that makes sense. I just remember people complaining here that the cheap shipping changed at the end of last year and became more expensive. It seems like that has changed back.

They must have worked out some shipping deal and are back to their cheap shipping because I just ordered about $150 work of components (no enclosures) and my DHL fee was $.99 for shipping.

The only places I've ever had solid core wire break was on the 3pdt breakout board or the wires soldered into the PCB from the breakout board. I don't always box every circuit I build and always test them outside of the box before I decide if I like it enough to totally complete it. I'm sure...
