    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Nice dude. Still a month out before I get working on mine. That reminds me, better check on that battery on a trickle charger.

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Another one that needed the switch replaced. Germanium with all ceramic disc caps! That blend option is really cool and it sounds awesome! Such a trip to hear a "real" one. Gonna have to do an Orpheum.

I would have love to have seen RFTC live. Nice build! I need to explore using those connectors.

How many phase stages is enough?

I had the chance to play on one of those 20 years ago and I still remember how glorious it was. Would love to play it side by side with the final phase. I think it is 10 stages. Regardless, looking forward to seeing (and hearing) what you come up with!

    Reamp Box

Very cool. Haven't seen this transformer before, only the old weber ones being used in DIY reamp projects. Any benefit over the weber?

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Needed the slide switch cleaned. I consider myself lucky to get to hear an original. First thing that stuck out was how much low end was present.

Sounds like you are on a flanger binge! May I suggest the ADA flanger? It's got a great sweep, gives you as couple of options with the even/odd harmonics and definitely can offer great modulation sounds at "chorus" like settings. I've built the mistress a couple of times, too,, but ADA blows it...

When the AliExpress order arrives and you don't even remember what you ordered. I'll just read the packet label.....uh wait a second.

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I've made a couple clones of the Dlx Mem Man, but there is something magical about these 2 mn3005 models. Didn't have enough time with it to determine if it is just nostalgia or something more.

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Same boat. Not sure why I haven't wrapped mine up. Guess it is a bit more involved with the setup and opto shielding....best of luck!

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

The Roland CE-1. Owner wanted it true bypassed . Went ahead and made the vibrato control work on chorus, too. I don't get the hype, but I also don't geek out on Leslie sounds.

    Clusterfuzz / Figbuster

Yep Moon has one. I've got a few extra of a 125b proto with 4p2t rotary. Works great but needs a wire to jump a net that didn't get connected. Still learning...

    Clusterfuzz / Figbuster

Thanks Brian. I know at minimum resistance on the 8bit control is where the misbias happens the most, so can't really make the pot bigger to achieve more. I guess I will fiddle with the collector resistor a bit and see if there is some wiggle room there. That's funny about r5. I read it as a...

    Clusterfuzz / Figbuster

Curious as to what makes the 8-bit control do what it does. Is the second transistor just "overloaded" by the first transistor and the resistance of the control prevents it from doing so? If so, is that due to the first transistor's gain? I want it to do what it does but more.

    Fun with Faceplates (multiple builds)

Very cool. I've been doing waterslide forever and I'm feeling inspired to try this out next time I put in an order for PCBs.

Is that clear waterslide? Bravo if so for getting the colors to work out well!

This Week on the Breadboard: Shallow Water

Woops. Thought there was because of the noise. Seen a couple of other build reports complaining about it. Dead quiet sounds nice!

This Week on the Breadboard: Shallow Water

One of the shortcomings of my lowtide build was an annoying snare brush sound that I assume was PT2399 noise. Once I heard it I couldn't unhear it and no amount of bias twiddling could get rid of it (maybe I could have used a scope.) Any issues with noise on this one?
