I don't know for sure but my guess is dried lubricant. The one I'm working on had the dirtiest capstans I've ever seen. 30 minutes with cotton swabs and heptane and they're not totally clean

How do the two parts of the tremolo section of the sproing deluxe connect? I'm looking at the section that starts at IN before C7 to the OUT after R18, and the voltage divider at R19,R20 to the other end with D2 and D3. I'm missing something obvious. What is it...
