I use both the poly caps and box film caps. Some of the poly caps I use are Panasonic ECB's. Which are my favorite but disco'd. But I find them here and there for a good price. (Electronic Goldmine). The others are either KYET's or JCONs.

@Hirti Just a quick heads up on the Frizzler board. The footprint for the BC549 is backwards. It will work fine for a 2N5088 (which is a perfectly fine alternative) or just make sure to flip the BC459 around. The pad designations are correct. (E-B-C)

I wish....as @Guardians of the analog said, it's a Tayda powder coated box. They're an extraordinary value at $6 ea. But shipping has gotten pretty bad with the tariffs. That's why most of my builds lately are in raw enclosures.

It's not very close to a Timmy. Its gainy-er and the clipping sounds more like a Dumble-esque overdrive than anything else. Keeping in mind that Juhl's always has his own thing going on. One of the reasons I love his circuits.
